anyone know if there’s a way for the clock to stay lit without it being connected with the cable? I thought it would be able to run just off the batteries, but it turns off after 10 seconds when it’s not plugged in

@@studentfilmed even flashlight cant last forever with lights on. The batteries meant to retain clock memory. To generate light needs more power hence cable power supplied to power socket or power bank. This is almost normal in any led night clock

I think only the connection option lets you change the brightness, If you use batteries it won't let you.
