Oh my god that was so beautiful 😍 I wanted to do some makeover for my home in Hyderabad for a longtime .since my mom is a patient for almost 35years that home is very cluttered and now I work out of the city I don't get time to think of renovation and it's bit hard to survive with very less income

Alright... let me address some things first 1) I love IKEA generally (c'mon who doesn't love an amazingly organized aesthetically appealing place like IKEA !) 2) I love interior design and the nitty gritties one can do to make a given place seem more spacious, organized, a touch of passion to make it more a home than a house. 3) I love the home stories series, used to watch these from IKEA USA YT channel 4) I'm from Tamil Nadu, now living in Hyderabad (from one of the clippings, they are tamil as well) THIS IS A TREAT THAT EVERY AFOREMENTIONED ITEM IS CHECKED IN THE LIST... WAITING FOR MORE VIDEOS IN THE FUTURE, and the classic ending the video with a frozen yogurt (IKEA USA spoiled me)

What a transformation! I'm in love! A few suggestions though: 1. Kindly put the cost breakup in the description box as well (I know we can refer the website, but it's nice to look at the details in one place itself) 2. I wish the video showed more about the room makeover too. I would genuinely like to know the assembling and the thought process of the room design too. 3. How can we register for a room makeover too? 4. Can these makeovers be under budget too?

@@ikeaindia Please, please do Ikea Stories in Bangalore, please accept my application :). I am living on a tight budget and never really done up my living/dining space in 20 years. Plodding along with bare minimum donated stuff. I would love to have this experience. Have been a big fan of Ikea and waited years for Ikea to come to India, then to Bangalore. Unfortunately, now life happened and am 'financially challenged' :), can't afford a designer, and am deadly scared of making costly mistakes if I attempt this on my own. Help!

If you don't have a lot of space you need rooms to be multi-functional, so a lot ends up happening out of necessity. But still they do a lot of tricks to keep things from looking too cluttered - hidden storage (under the bed), putting small stuff in boxes, making use of vertical wall space for storage, plus removing objects from the window sills (these should be fairly empty, it makes the room look neater). Overall I think they did a really good job here.

IKEA products are so minimal and beautiful, things could have been a lot soothing and minimalistic. The final look is a little cluttered with so many textures and colours mixing. Could have been way more tasteful had the number of things in the room been fewer. Looks a little too cramped for day to day use.

I am sure it's expensive. .i believe there are other designers who will do better with less cost.. Each bedroom make over will cost only 20-40k .. It's really not worth 1L

We got one custom built in wardrobe in a tier 2 city for 35k. With bed, quality mattress, study desks, storage units and other furnishings it quickly adds up. It's not totally low budget but definitely worth the money.

I bought an Ikea day bed of the Brimness series end of Dec 2019. The quality of the bed is very very bad. Within 9 months the aluminium support has completely given way. Now I can’t convert the single bed into a double one. I have a video which I can’t upload anywhere to show the horrible status. The quality of products are pathetic to say the least. Hope someone from Ikea contacts me after looking at this post.
