日本の日にちの言い方は宇宙に関係しています(The date way of saying the Japanese is related to the universe) Sundays →日曜日(にちようび)→日(ひ)=太陽(たいよう) Monday →月曜日(げつようび) →月(つき) Tuesday →火曜日(かようび) →火星(かせい) Wednesday→水曜日(すいようび) →水星(すいせい) Thursday →木曜日(もくようび) →木星(もくせい) Friday →金曜日(きんようび) →金星(きんせい) Saturday →土曜日(きんようび) →土星(どせい) 昔の人は地球から大きい順での、星を曜日にしたようです(ロケットとかがない時代のお話)
*Timestamps* from what I understood in this stream using very scuffed JP skills. 0:55 Stream starts, Ike is flustered by the VERY early aka supas 3:03 Talks about Reimu finding out he called her "Reimu-chan" on stream via Twitter 🤣 5:06 Moves to Duolingo screen 5:46 Chooses to take the test, talks about the volume level and finding Katakana to be difficult compared to Hiragana 10:17 What's AM and PM in Japanese 13:26 -imasu vs -arimasu 17:29 His reaction to getting the right answers is so cute🥺 19:40 Struggles with kanji for the days of the week 21:45 "I'm really not good at Japanese" 🥺 22:29 Talks about taking Japanese course in high school, but didn't continue his studies so his current skills aren't very good. However he wants to get better at it now so he can collab w/ JP senpais one day. (Contextual understanding, may not be accurate) 24:50 "How are your Portugal" 🤣 Finishes test. 25:17 Apparently Vox taught Ike what 'streak' was in Japanese and that Vox also uses Duolingo (again, contextual understanding) 26:39 Ike realizes 10k people were watching him struggle in Japanese, is flustered by the big number 29:36 Duolingo TTS "has a really cool pronunciation" of Sensei, Ikebo Sensei Ike 30:49 "If Oliver senpai came to this stream, I would say this." 32:35 "Isn't this a little too easy" 33:50 Ike asks if he should do Greetings level 2 because he wanted a challenge, chat says yes 35:36 Talks about finding the intonation of Japanese to be difficult, i.e. 箸 (háshi) chopsticks vs 橋 (hashí) bridge 36:31 Ike notices the number of viewers increased to 11k, is speechless (?) 37:41 Talks about if "Nice to meet you" is difficult to translate hence there are different ways to say it in Japanese 38:03 -"Please to meet you"- " *Pleased* to meet you" 39:30 Doumo sumimasen isn't used often! Duolingo... 40:48 Misreads こちらこそ (kochira koso) as ちょきらこそ (chokira koso) 🤣 46:20 TTS ikebo sensei pt. 2 46:52 Ike's ikebo "sensei" 1:01:43 "How you are" 🤣 1:16:00 Level Up, unlocks stories 1:16:30 Reads the Passport story 1:17:26 Ike understands the worry of losing something during travel 1:20:00 The passport was in Vikram's hands, Ike had a similar experience with his phone (see chat for full translation) 1:28:58 Aka Supas because Ike likes red 1:41:19 Superchat reading, switching back to speaking in English 1:50:29 Pewdiepie reference, I do not know how to write in Swedish 2:12:52 hic tskr 2:34:44 Stream ends (to be continued, my head really hurts now) If you find anything that needs corrections, please point it out. This also serves as my study material!

Thank you so much for the stream, Ike! 💙 It brought back so much trauma from Duolingo and from quietly sitting in on NijiJP streams lol. 🤣 It really motivates me to continue learning Japanese. I forgot to save my timestamps for both this stream and the Fortnite stream. 😭 I'm gonna work on that a few hours later maybe.

可愛い〜!日本語で聞けて嬉しい...間違えてる問題でも話せば伝わるものがいくつかあったからすごい!私英語の勉強頑張ろうと思いました。 pretty~! I'm glad to hear it in Japanese ... It's amazing because there were some things that I could convey if I talked about the wrong problem! I thought I'd do my best to study English.
