One thing I love about her playing is that it's so accessible to anybody, not just bona fide musos. She's musically talented and creative, yes, but she's just so satisfying and easy to listen to. There's not an ounce of pretentiousness in her performances.

Saw her on Mezzo (this amazing tv channel!) in a superb concert filmed at New Morning Jazz Club in Paris, and the way her music engages with the audience is very striking - also the sense of joy and fun! She's obviously really good technically - I thought she was a good deal older than around 24 or so - but doesn't bother to create showpieces for her chops, she just channels the flow of her music.

Wow, what a cool cat, I decline my head in deep respect. She don't just play the music, she lives it. It's a joy to see her playing. Hopefully, she is getting one of the big bass players. I'll keep my fingers crossed for her. But the rest of the band is also awesome. Like it! After enjoying the whole concert, I ordered CDs what I could get :-)

Great Kinga. I've been following you for several months now. Astonishing. You play the bass from your heart. Everything is right in my opinion. Musicality, timing, style, and also the musician's heart in the right place. You also have top musicians next to you. That can certainly be said. Fantastic performance. Great music ! I discovered this video today, and realise that this concert was only last week. Congratulations to all of you. I remember having seen Yoran on a Bimhuis performance with Cory Henry. Sadly this concert is without public.No applaus or background noise. This however, makes it even more enjoyable. Kinga Głyk is 23 years old. She’s said to be the best Polish bass player of the new generation and a rising star of the Jazz Blues music. She began her adventure with music at the age of 12 playing in a family band called Głyk P.I.K. TRIO. - Despite her young age she has already given a lot of concerts not only in Poland but also in countries such as Indonesia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Ukraine. ~ In March 2015 she released her debut album „Rejestracja”. The CD has received positive reviews from Trójka - Polskie Radio and magazines like „Jazz Forum” and „Twój Blues”. ~ In an annual survey called JAZZ TOP and BLUES TOP she’s been nominated in the following categories: NEW HOPE, BASS GUITAR and DISCOVERY OF THE YEAR. ~ In February 2016 Kinga recorded LIVE her second authorial album „Happy Birthday”.- In June 2016 a video of Kinga performing Eric Clapton’s „Tears in heaven” has been posted by BASS PLAYER UNITED on Facebook reaching the amount of 20 million views. Kingo, słucham koncertu po kilku miesiącach, w skupieniu. Piękna muza, i mam poczucie jakbym na tym koncercie był. Magia. Dodam coś. Czasami słuchając basistów - solistów mam poczucie że ich granie nie jest zbalansowane z resztą bandu, ze jest ich za duzo. Ale nie mam takiego poczucia w Twoim bandzie. Basu jest tyle co trzeba, brzmi świetnie, zostawia przestrzeń innym muzykom.

Świetne brzmienia klawiszy, perkusja jest tylko tłem. Paradoksalnie cisza w utworach przeszkadza bo jakoś nie nastraja. Nie wiem o co chodzi, bo przecież nie o umiejętności Kingi, ale koncert jest jakiś jałowy. Może to dobór utworów... W ogóle jakoś mało się tu dzieje - niepotrzebne, moim zdaniem pogadanki z manierycznym "am" zaniżają poziom. Avishai Cohen bardziej mnie wozi.
