WOW!!!!!! I simply cannot believe how much Ikeja has changed over the years. I used to commute through Ikaja “along” from Ipaja on a daily basis, over thirty years ago! Hardly recognisable now! Great tour. Thanks.

@NobleArchitecture10 ай бұрын
Packaging is one thing that makes a difference between Western countries and Africa. In the West, they make sure everything looks nice and organized. In Africa, even if you create a beautiful place for them, they tend to leave it messy and dirty. They can turn a paradise into a trashy place. One of the changes Africa needs is to help people understand how to live cleaner and more organized lives.

Why is it that the bridge construction did not make any allowance for a walkway for pedestrians?????

@musaajani4429 ай бұрын
it is made for vehicle only. Provision of walk way is along the under the bridge and It is shorter for the pedestrians to walk through under the bridge to connect pedestrian bridge to cross rail lines to other side of the main road of ikeja. Those on top of the bridge are just walking on it for fun of it and it is dangerous because vehicle can loose control and hit them. You can also see that very significant number of people are walking on the bridge.

That saying that if you can survive in Lagos you can survive anywhere na lie ooo...becos what guarantees your stay in a foreign country,is your Passport and valid visa,and once it expires you are finished,if you caught depending on the laws of the country,you either go to jail or deported or even both . ❤

@InfoAfricamedia the lane you're talking about is a BRT lane, it is a restricted lane. A couple of BRTs passing the bridge can't be the cause of traffic

Then you should know if the bridge is not there it would have been worst. Also note that the bridge was constructed to allow the train move free without interruption. You will definitely experience low traffic when the train start operation.

Never seen a uglier pedestrian bridge like the ones in lkeja lagos..Nigeria lack architectural mindset,they just put cement and sand together and come up with bricks.😅They should copy somethings from other African cities like Accra,Nairobi,kigali etc.There is no shame in doing that.I grew up in that Airforce barrack in lkeja,then we were transfered to kaduna,kano and then kainji in Niger state.That was when Nigeria was a country,not now,everything has gone down the drain.Thank you.
