I am at moment of buying my first machine, after I've watched, read and checked around 10-15 different machine from budget between 1000-2000€ this laser is the only real competitor to Xtool S1 with precision, speed, features etc. But bcuz is cheaper this is going to be my first ever Laser Cutter/Engraver. Iker K1 Pro Max with enclosure is a real deal, hats down to the company. This also motivate me to start YT channel and first video will be unboxing and test of this machine by newbie

I really regretted getting involved with ikier k1 pro max - I’ve had the refound laser head twice, the first time it had crumbled glass inside the laser module where the glass system is located. Ikier change it. The second module worked for two months and just stopped working, that is, it does not cut or engrave, but the fan works. This module was replaced as well. The third module worked for 6 months he began to degrade the laser (diodes) Became worse to cut, the power fell. Although I used it for 40 hours a week and cleaned it after each use. So think twice about whether you need it?

What material/s do you use for a bed for these laser machines? I'm guessing you're not engraving your workbench :p

How does that machine compare to the ATOMSTACK X40 MAX, that seems to come with the same 48 W laser?

I wonder if this machine an cut thin copper or stainless steel foils with thicknesses thinner than or equal to 0.1 mm (4 thousands of an inch).

Yes, I will actually use your affiliate link, if you can answer my question, which Ikier support was kind enough not to answer. It is pretty simple really. To my mind, on paper that is, there is absolutely no reason, at all, to get the pro max, apart from the power switching. Considering the laser output power and spot size, the actual power delivered by the pro max, given the spot size, is surpassed but all other options, except it's own 24w power switching mode. I realize that there is much more to the story, some of which I may or may not comprehend, and you have already illustrated that the pro max is actually faster than the ultra, however there is more to this than time, mainly quality, and with you actually promoting that pro max over the ultra, basically concluding that the pro max can du whatever the ultra can, and more, I am somewhat confused. Are you actually saying the the pro max can achieve the same quality, not factoring in the time factor in any way shape or form, that the ultra can? If so, how can this be?
@strangefire2024 Жыл бұрын
with the pro max, you can use the 48w for faster cutting and the 24w for more accurate engraving. at least that is what is advertised. in that way, the pro max cuts faster than the ultra with its 48w and engraves with a more fine laser with its 24w. also, as shown in the video, the pro max has a much more powerful air assist vs the ultra.
@FelixNielsen Жыл бұрын
@@strangefire2024 yes, except the ultra 36w, can achieve the same precision, according to the specs, as the pro max can. Likewise the pro 24w can achieve higher precision than the pro max at 24w. All that being said, all I really need to know is if there is anything the ultra can do, also in terms of quality, finish, etc, that the pro max can't.
@strangefire2024 Жыл бұрын
@@FelixNielsen there really isn't anything that the ultra can do better than the pro max IMHO. probably the only reason you'd want to get an ultra is for the lower price tag.
@FelixNielsen Жыл бұрын
@@strangefire2024 Well, according to the specs I'd say you're wrong. How do you arrive at this conclusion? Direct comparison, personal experience, reviews, or something else? If the ladder, could you point me to your sources?
@strangefire2024 Жыл бұрын
@@FelixNielsen from the Ikier website itself. Pro Max top engraving speed: 900mm/s, Ultra 800mm/s, Pro Max Laser Power output 48W, Ultra 36W, Pro Max has "Super Cooling System" which the Ultra doesn't have and the Pro Max has a more powerful air assist. I think you are confusing the K1 pro with the K1 pro MAX. Because the Ki Pro only has a 24w laser but the K1 Pro MAX is the one with BOTH a 24W AND a 48W laser and all the other specs i pointed out that beat the Ultra.
