Thanks! That was a great instructional video. I recently got a 102, and now I have a reason to break out my beginner's stash of Derbys that have been sitting around for years.

Nick, just wanted to say thank you for your video's. You may not realize, but for me, they helped me get into what is now an awesome hobby. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Really liking the blade review series and the tips in choosing a blade. Choosing a blade was the only confusing part of starting to shave with a safety razor, which I love now. Thanks for the great content.

Thanks for the video! I got a ikon 102 for Christmas from my son and the first time I used it with a polsilver blade and it was a little too aggressive, but when I put a derby blade in it I had a great shave! Keep up the good videos!

Speick is my favorite... Try the aftershave, has great healing properties and a lovely scent, I believe you'll like it

I have always heard nothing but bad things about Derby blades. As a fairly new wet shaver, I have been having a terrible time finding the right razor/blade pairing. Everything has been too rough, too sharp, or not sharp enough. Today, for the first time, I tried a Derby... just because. Loved it. So much so, I may have just found my daily shaver.

Started with the Gillette Platinum, watched your videos and I purchased the Personna Lab Blue blades. I bought a sampler pack of blades and fell in love with the Feathers. I've seen you shave with them too and I will keep up with your review of the blades to see if there are any more I need to have in my routine. Thanks for the videos they are great!

Another good video nick. I've tried alot of products based on your reviews here that I wouldn't of known of had I not tuned into your channel. The best thing is I recently found out that I only live 2 cities over from West Coast Shaving! I'm there like every week now lol.

Hey Nick, coincidentally I bought some Speick products in a local store, including the shaving stick, but was wondering about how to actually use it. Now I know, thanks to you! I agree, the scent is very nice and I'm looking forward to shave with it. There is also a shaving cream and an after shave lotion by Speick, maybe you get the chance to pick them up somewhere. Shave on! PS: Your pronounciation of Speick was spot on :)

As always........thanks for your great vids. My go-to blade in a wide range of razors is Polsilver. I'd really enjoy hearing your take on them.......T.

great review - I enjoy using a derby from time to time. My only complaint with them is they're a "one & done" blade but they're very affordable.

Maybe you can try the derby blades with the Merkur 37C for a smoother shave.

Nice video, Nick. You should try the Speick ASL (the blue/red one). Nice scent and feels great on the face. Definitely one of the best.

Nice video! I have the speick cream in a tube. It's pretty good. Sorta like the nivea cream in a tube. It dries out a bit on me and lacks a bit in slickness/post shave but decent for the price. I love the fine aftershave american blend. I find that it only lasts for about 2-4 hours though. I have to apply an EDT or EDP afterwards. Do you have any colognes (Not aftershaves)?

Why don't you go with the grain on the left side of the neck, if hairs grow out? I noticed that creates redness. Great video as always!

hi nick great video. i love the smell of speick products. about the pronouciation, the speick medical plant grows in the alpine regions in southern germany. there it is pronounced "shpeik". in northern germany they call it "speik". in the east i dont know. so it´s both right and you even said it without any accent.

Nick, wouldn't you smell like 21 flavours? You put (i) Speick, (ii) Aftershave splash, (iii) Nivea Post-shave balm, (iv) Cologne, and (v) (unless you're using the alum block as deodorant, you will have another scent). What's the outcome in that?
