K-pop is not a genre, it’s an industry. Their concept was hippop and they were still considered K-pop. In K-pop u can find hippop, rnb, pop, ballad, girl crush, cute songs and everything. So having a song in a diff genre doesn’t make them out of K-pop. Just wanted to make that clear.

Yes kpop is just Korean Popular Music. It was just called Korean Music before someone in America decided to call it kpop.... And Korean Dramas kdramas, etc

iKON slay every genre. They’re a a hiphop group but their ballads are insane. The new album is so good and they’re going on a world tour. Bobby has 3 solo albums out too.

almost all groups from yg have this vibe, so generally, if you dont like ikon you wont like that company, also their original concept was hiphop because bi and bobby were rappers/songwriters before ikon, bobby was on a rap contest show, hence their most natural genre being hip hop

The reason they have 7 members in bling bling and apology is because B.I (former leader) is no longer apart of the group. Please support him as a solo artist some mvs I recommend are btbt, keep me up, and illa illa

Their leader B.I left at 2019, he's the other rapper beside Bobby, that's why you only see 6 members on their recent songs. B.I is doing solo now btw Although iKON really has that strong image party vibe and hip hop kinda look (especially their live performances), they're also famous for their ballad heartbreak song (their lyrics in ballads is top notch), but maybe you like the more upbeat one, that's ok Here's some recommendation - killing me - love scenario - dive - bestfriend (b-side, no MV) - driving slowly (b-side in their recent album Take Off) And their live performances are WILD WILD, the energy is crazy especially for their song Rhythm Ta

Hey Essence: IKON is amazing and DK and June ( pronounced June -ee) got my stan. They were 7 but BI is a soloist and you have to check him out as well, talent x 1mil. But for IKON I love every song. Love Scenario, rhythm TA, Apology and Sinojak are faves but I love everything. For B.I. Definitely BTBT, illa illa, No One and Waterfall. I’m also an IKONic. Next MonstaX you will love them. 💚. ps remember the stylist do these things that are borderline .. no stupid, but don’t blame artist for their ignorance, or you find it everywhere

It's not you saying you find the song boring (which most of us with taste in music and good vocals know better....there was a reason they were asked to perform it at the MAMA). It's the little zingers you throw in your comments. Also you don't appear to be self-aware. Most reasonable fans realize not all people will like the music of their idols, but most fans are not going to let people disrespect their idols. Without bias, iKON is the complete package (dance, vocals, and stage presences). They also can sing live!!

iKON's foundation is straight up hip hop. it's the same with every YG group. their base training is hip hop before whatever genre people think is considered "K-Pop". cause honestly, K-pop at this point isn't just a korean-pop genre cause their music is influenced by mashing different genres together: Pop, Hip-Hop, EDM, Rock etc. their senior groups JINUSEAN & 1TYM (straight hip hop from the 90s/2000s), BIGBANG & 2NE1 (is where they start to mix hip-hop with other genres making the sound you're used to listening in kpop today. their influence is present.). the thing with iKON, they do not stick to just 1 genre and just like every YGE group, they're meant to perform LIVE. MVs and studio recordings don't do justice on their talents sometimes. this comeback after leaving YG Entertainment, one of the members (yunhyeong) even released a TROT track (this is a genre well loved by koreans of all ages in general). it's ok to not like them girl. haha. everyone has different tastes. i personally loved them since pre-debut (B.I & Bobby were already so famous and successful before the group debuted) and they really went through A LOT. i'm just glad that freedom looks so good on them and that they're free to do whatever the hell they want with their careers. they did more in 2023 than they did in the last 2 years with YGE.

Also, they're considered a hiphop group so not everyone is expected to like their releases. However the fandom requested for a hiphop comeback so iKON composed one for the fans :) as for the backup dancer which you didnt like, i think that was YG's fault so i hope you won't hate ikon for it. :(( at 11:15 that's hanbin, a former member of iKON :) yeah that:s bobby at 14:00 hehe you'll like their b-sides if you enjoyed U and But You. I don’t disable comments. I’m having an issue with KZbin where they disable comments on my videos and I often don’t see it was disabled until way later. But it seems you were able to comment so what are you talking about ? And i don’t even delete comments where ppl disagree with me. I only delete comments if someone starts blatantly harassing me or being extremely rude. Disagreements and opinions are a part of life so I don’t just delete comments of differing opinions.

I just want to make it clear that ppl have different tastes in music and that's ok. But how you word your reactions is a point of contention. It's not about living under control, it's also not about liking their music, it's okay. One of the biggest Kpop idols there is in the industry and I only 3 of their songs. However, it's another thing to demean with shady comments. You don't like when your idols are demeaned either. I didn't look at this review that she recorded on the same day, I looked at the others too she recorded on the same day....noticeable difference. I don't dislike anyone for not liking their music, but the shade is definitely there.

woah the comments are so annoying, as someone who used to be a huge fan of ikon fan i find it so disapointing to see these comments and im sorry for that. everyone has a different taste in music, ignore the people and just do u i really enjoy seeing u give ur honest reactions since many dont do that. ikon were always known to be different from most of the industry, since theyve been very hip hop heavy. ex leader and member of the group B.I mentioned many times their songs are not so public friendly which is fine! nothing wrong about that! thank you for your reaction, I'd really love to see you reacting to B.I i wonder if you would maybe like his work :) I recommend BTBT ( especially the performance video) keep me up, illa illa, waterfall,cosmos, keep the fire alive message film. One thing i would like to add is that you should keep the english captions on while watching his stuff, i feel like one understands and enjoys his songs more when they know what he's talking about! thank youuu

Look, I'm given a thumbs up to a couple of reviews who didn't think a song of two were not to their liking. But when there are comments that are demeaning--and her comments were, I take offense. The same way you would if something was said that demeaned B.I's work. It's okay not to like it, but don't demean it.
