This song was so massive in Korean schools especially when it dropped that there had to be specific measures taken to stop kids from singing it in class lol it won a lot of song of the year type awards last year, which is amazing given the competition it was up against

This song actually won 2018 song of the year at the Melon Music Awards & the Golden Disk Awards (big award shows in korea). Their leader/rapper B.I also won a songwriting award (he writes and produces a lot of their music). This song is originally from their album "return" which in my opinion was one of the best kpop albums of 2018. yall should check out their songs dumb&dumber, the mv is really funny & a great song, and "bling bling", much more hip-hop centered

So imagine a song being so good it tops all major charts in the country at the same time. That's called a Perfect All Kill (PAK). And it is recounted every hour. And in history of kpop not many has done that. For example, bands like BIG BANG has 6 PAK's under their belt, BTS has 3 PAK's. Usually one PAK lasts for a few hours and then it goes down in one of the charts so it's not a PAK anymore. (it's hard to top 14 charts at the same time). So songs like BTS Fake Love which were so successful had a 63 hour PAK. Love Scenario is the only song in kpop history that managed to hold PAK for 203 hours. This song is simply legendary,

This song was the song of the year in 2018 but still being played like toooooo much in this year lmao, this song was almost banned in south korea kindergartens because for some reason the still no fuckin one knows it became so viral between kids that they won't stop singing it, like it was and still like a virus lmao and it's the song that maintained more weeks on n°1 on every chart in korea (that's what we call PAK in kpop language lmao they have 142 paks) staying 42 weeks in that position, no one knows or can actually explain why it became so addictive, even experts of music tried to explain it; what most of them say is that now music plays with a lot of difficult melodies and compositions but B.I (the composer and leader of iKON) created this one with a basic melody and basic beautiful message on it. As an ikonic (from the fandom) I have to say that I loved this reaction! 💖😔✊🏻
