Ep 333 OBINNA part 2 EXPULSION FROM SCHOOL, FRICTION WITH DAD & CHOKORA IN NAIROBI Iko Nini Podcast

Iko Nini

Iko Nini

Күн бұрын

On this episode Obinna talks about his childhood and how his dad made him feel unloved. The constant beatings while his siblings were spared added to being expelled from high school made him escape home and to come to Nairobi with nowhere to stay.
He would later enroll in a community high school to sit his KCSE
He talks of how after success he tried to mend the relationship with his dad, but the childhood trauma has made that impossible.

It is apparent that Obinna was a leader from a tender age but lacked proper mentorship. He was highly gifted and is resilient. It is a good thing that he can comfortably talk about his past and pain. Very few people can be candid about this. He needs to seek therapy to deal with the traumas he harbours. So far so good. He has really tried given his circumstances.

And your encouragement to those who have been through similar childhood trauma. Thank you for being a better father to your children than what was shown to you as a child. GOD is on your side AND HE is your father. Listening to you helps me understand why GOD is showcasing you in this season of your life! Talking is part of healing. Stay well bro.

Most of us have this childhood trauma of our parents treating us like shit. Opening about it doesn’t help. Buying them houses and cars doesn’t either. Them admitting their mistake and apologizing for mistreating you is the only thing that would help. But they’ll never do that, and will carry it to their grave!
