The rest of us live in the real world and when people show us who they are, especially when it involves courts, police and aggrieved clients, we believe them and immediately act accordingly. My argument is perfectly logical. A difference of opinion doesn't render it illogical. Taking customers' money and not delivering what was promised doesn't require proof of innocence, it requires that he hands over the promised goods or refunds their money ASAP. He is guilty until he does either one of those things. Maria gains nothing and might actually lose a lot by being associated with a fraudster (seeing as if he spent that money on lifestyle, he was partially spending it on her.) A spousal relationship with the wrong person can drag one down a lot faster than a friendship, it can even risk the innocent party's life. So if indeed she has separated herself from him, it is for the best. Besides, who knows what else he's been lying to her about behind closed doors.
