There's a guy who commented on X ati maybe he's "Tom Mboka", not "Mboya". I laughed hard and somehow his comment didn't get likes. I struggle with politics because it messes up with my vibe. Kasongo becoming president depressed me badly. The tribal dynamics depress me further. There's a lot of suspicion, misinformation etc on all sides. I feel that maybe the nation could have been designed better.

He's saying something similar to what I thought. I proposed a secretariat of people not interested in political seats, and they can even draw salaries. Their work would be to project-manage the whole thing e.g pushing for IEBC reconstitution. A bit like Uhuru's TNA party in 2013 was managed by akina Sakaja and Boniface Chitayi. Very young people, all < 30, of whom only Sakaja became a career politician. I say this because I would love to be able to outsource a bit of the political strategy-making to other people that I trust, so I can focus less of my mental bandwidth on politics. Not being interested in political power inspires trust and more funds will be raised from people like me who have trust issues.

Successful movements anywhere in the world are led by fairly successful individuals. Highly educated, skilled, affluent, empathetic and visionary. They need to be many in a particular party or movement. You cant change anything when you are hungry, need some form of employment to survive, have basic education, experience and are not affluent. I am surprised Mr. Morara showed up at Iko Nini a few weeks ago after the host had expressed unwarranted alarmisim about Mr.Morara fundraisings. Furthermore even after Mr. Morara came to their show where the host had an opportunity to clarify any doubts or issues, he is still unable to use the information that he has about Morara to correct his guests when they become emotional and start making outlandish unfounded allegations! Morara's fundraisings, donations, e.t.c are the way to go when it comes to political mobilisation, movement mobilisation. Any movement needs money to survive and thrive. The issue with the guest is that he's quick to castigate Mr.Morara, but he fails to hold Ruto, Raila and the other parties to the same standard? Additionally the guest displayed gross ignorance by appearing to be condemning Mr.Morara but failing to demand disclosure how the established parties are sustaining themselves? Until the guest can adequately answer those questions, he has no grounds to criticise Mr.Morara who is openly and transparently fundraising to make the movement durable and sustainable! We don't have any transparency about how the existing parties are funded and the guest who is castigating Mr.Morara shows no concerns, is it right?

I don’t agree with Rowbow on this. Asking the Gen-Z led movement to seek to align with Raila would have been a bad mistake. His opposition light is/was already dimmed the moment he sided with the KK govt. Plus he had been silent all through the protests anyway. There was a reason why he was/is in bed with the KK govt. He had to drop some of his strong opposition antics and oversight. Also, I disagree that the movement sidelined older generations (ageism if you might). There was no where this was explicitly or implicitly inferred or pushed by the movement. In certain clips you even saw some 40-something year old guy addressing the press as “sisi kama Gen-Z”. My 76 year old dad was/is also very supportive of the movement and did not at any moment feel like it was an elitist “Gen-Z only” club that he can’t support.

To understand kasmuel, one must understand this simple altruism; Everyone has a price. In life whenever your interests intersect with those of your enemies/opponents, you will always work with and /or for them when the price is right.
