A simpler explanation for carbon credits is the same as air rights in construction. There is a cap to how much green house gases a country can emit set by the COPENHAGEN conventions of whatever year and UNEP, plus other international organisations relevant to the environment. So as she explained, much of the industrialised world always surpasses that cap, and kenya being a country whose majority of it's energy is produced through renewable sources. We never come close to our cap, so we sell the remainder out as carbon credit.

Great conversation on carbon credits! Yooo usiogope kusema, the industrialised countries will say we want X acres of LAND in exchange they give us X millions USD...now they will be so much legal requirements that sometimes the money will never come but when it goes, Kenya will lose land. Are we ready to go through this again like when the British were in Kenya before independence???. So as they continue to pollute the environment and they will claim they made up for it in Kenyan land. Now the Kenyan land will most likely kick out locals - Remember the lands bill where it mentions the CS can reclaim that land...that one will come and bite us and bite us hard. Be vigilant, Kaa Rada, Kaa Chonjo!

I see the big picture. There's a connection between Duale the Somali and Al-Shabaab. There's a connection between Ruto , the Somali and that Al-Shabab and Duale.
