The convoy you see is that of the second son of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu who is around 21 years old.
This boy has no known job, neither is he an employee of any establishment anywhere around the world as at today. As casual as that may seem, this boy cruises around town with LEXUS GX460 SUV which is sold for about # 70,000,000 (seventy million Naira). In addition, he moves around with a long convoy consisting of about 5 SUV vehicles and a security van with Mobile Police security guards as can be seen here.
The boys surrounding him here are those who follow him around; none of them has a good paying job. From the photographer to the MC to those who are behind his publicity, none of them wears the least good clothes. All of these boys are jobless and look this unkempt because Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu didn’t make the State business-friendly and or conducive for investors to come in to create jobs, and Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu did not create any either as a governor for 8 years.
In a State pensioners are owed for about 3 y

I watched the video in shock. That was how Chinedum Orji, the present clueless speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly started when hisfather was the governor of Abia State. This 21-year old boy with no job and practically no achievement is moving around in an SUV, police siren and security details. And elders are applauding him. Who cursed Nigeria?

Not only 21 years. His first Son Jammy Victor Ikpeazu should be either 30/31 while Chinedu his second son is 28 years. These people were my next door neighbors back in Enugu when he was a lecturer at ESUT which one come be 21 years. If he is 21 years how old then is their last child Adimchinobi. She should be the one with that age because his first daughter is 26years old. It's their time to chop Abia State money because they know by May June they should be handing over

Massive sufferers of Stockholm syndrome . A typical case of the impoverished in praise of their oppressors . A governor's son utilising state fund for selfish purpose. Yet the ignorant men praising their oppressor. What exactly has ikoeazu achieved for abia state ? What could he hold his head up for ? Shamefully, he sees governor wike commissioning roads and projects. Isn't those enough for ukoeazu to bow head down in shame? By the way, who is giving the son the boldness to utilise governor fund for his selfish interest. Ndi Era all over S E governors

Technically he is there to represent his father, hence he would carry out all the functions expected of his father at the event. He therefore is granted all the security and pomp and ceremony that would have been accorded his father. Beside there are likely a few other high ranking government officials utilising the same convoy. My problem with the governor is that he cant careless that he has not done hardly anything to develop the state in his 8 years as governor.

Wrong my friend. He is not an appointee under his father's administration. Its totally unconstitutional for the governor of any state to be represented by members of their family in an official function. Even the first lady should not at all. It is unconstitutional. Its because your Nigeria is a jungle with malformed animals like Okezie and all the shameless ngwa people that are dancing about for the mere son of a non performing governor like Okezie, that is why people will acknowledge this impunity.

Inasmuch as I don't support the reckless behaviour of our public officials it's imperative to have security cover for the son of a serving Governor because he could be a soft target for unknown gunmen/kidnappers.Nigeria as it's presently is in a state insecurity so he needs protection. But in the face of that I would advise for moderation instead of a show of opulence and power in his attitude.

Who do you blame? Is it the governor's son or the citizens cheering for him knowing fully well that state resources are being wasted? The problem of Nigeria is bad followership, not leadership. This is the area I disagree with Peter Obi. The problem of Nigeria is not leadership. People gets the kind of leaders they deserve. The so called developed countries don't tolerate nonsense from their leaders. Not because they are more educated or better than us on individual level. It is because they applied basic archaic common sense, which is something you don't get from school but part of you as a human being. Nigerians and the rest of Africans shut their common sense off and come back to blame their leaders, as if their leaders are not one of them or they fall from heaven lol. Let them cheer for him, instead of throwing trash on him and start a statewide protest calling for the governor to resign. The same people will complain that the governor couldn't build a common flyover for them.

Abia state has been governed by families since 1999 till date if we can recall the first one did it with the family, with his mama , the second one also did it with his son and this 3rd one must have to do same thing that was a very bad foundation that was laid from 1999.
