I've been "eyeballing" these missions from the BAT community missions pack, and you may have convinced me to go ahead and play them in BAT. Nice dive-bombing with the 47, Douglas. A risky move without dive-brakes, but you nailed that train!!!! Pulled out in plenty of time, and managed to shoot down a couple of German planes . . . very good mission. These mission builders have turned IL2 1946 into a WWII historic library. I wonder how many of us here in the USA even know that Brazil fought alongside of us in Italy? Or nowadays even care. So this video is also a history lesson. I love this game and your videos, Buddy. Can't wait for the next!

Laramie thanks yes I find out more about the war by playing this game, and that is very cool. Yes and Mexico flew P47's in the pacific along side USAAF thunderbolts as well I guess that why they called it a world war.

Very nice, as always! I believe a long time ago the air force did manage to bring a p-47 back to flight status as a memorial flight for the fighter group, however I believe a lack of funding and government bureaucracy about the certification have sadly killed it. There are several p-47s serving as gate guards and memorials here in Brazil. P-47s always have intrigued me, a high altitude fighter which so many of it's features and designs were made or compromised for it's performance at altitude, ends up being the western equivalent to the il-2 for the allies in 1944-45.

Well nice to meet you Doug! eh eh i haven´t a clue of any Brasilian Squadron or Fighter group operating in the Med ! Completly new for me. I also love the Forgotten countries i remember DBW had some campaigns for Yugoslavia. Ps: awesome deflection shot at 10:33!

@@callsignnictmere465 yeah that's true! you should do more videos like that they are cool! there were another Latin American fighter group called the Aztec Eagles, they fought against the Japanese in the Philippines.

Hi Douglas, Does the VP mod pack add campaigns in the MTO or the ETO? Or do you still have to make single missions with the mission builder to get those theaters of operation? And what about aircraft? I'm specifically interested in the F4U-4 Corsair, and the F8F Bearcat for the PTO.
