THIS IS MUSIC; a STUNNING album. Hail Maestro! 1. Oru Kaatril - I swoon even before the heart-ripping Sarangi(?) prelude ends. IR's voice carries the song like an oyster protecting the pearl (soul) intact. 2. Maa Ganga - little-known song of the album; Kunal's voice is striking. Bala said it is IR who edited scrap footages of the movie to make the song-video; OVERLOADED talent! He also said this song was played daily at 4 a.m. at the Kaashi temple; don't know if it still does. 3. Om Shivoham - The rest is history! There is no other composer who could compose a devotional song like this. 4. Pitchai paathiram - originally WRITTEN and sung by Ilayaraja for his devotional album, Rajavin Ramanamaalai; here re-rendered by Madhu who did very well. 5. Maadha un kovilil - the Ganjira addition (to the original 1978 song) is excellent. 6. Amma un pillai naan - Sadhana Sargam rendered it beautifully, though original by SJ is the inimitable golden standard. SJ even cried during the recording of the song getting very emotional in the middle of the charanam saying the tune and the lyrics shook her. 7. Kannil paarvai - gorgeous sweet vocals of Shreya.

It is Maa Ganga Song which was composed as a title song with the scrap footages and not Ok Shivoham.
