I actually went to a church camp when I was young where they had us role-play as missionaries in a hostile country navigating the forest trying to avoid patrolling guards. Some took it super seriously & a lot of kids were in tears by the end of it. I think I was, too, but looking back on it solicits a real solid WTF from me now.

We played “Romans and Christians” and they’d turn off all the lights in the church and set us loose while the older kids were the Roman’s and we’re trying at capture us and take us to jail

@@sophierolfsen7797 to be fair, this was at a week-long nature retreat every 6th grade class at my school did, so the adults worked for that program, not the school. which kind of made it worse bc there were just strange adults yelling at us, not teachers we knew and trusted.

0:43 This was the norm for middle schools in the early 2000's PERIOD, not just Hebrew schools. Our 8th grade English class syllabus was Flowers for Algernon, The Crucible, Call of the Wild, then THREE MONTHS OF HOLOCAUST and then neatly wrap it up with '1984'.

Three months studying the holocaust. That's believable. My experience, NY, town with lots of Jews. WWII coverage altogether was two weeks. Think about what a crazy exaggeration that would be - three months covering one thing. But, people will believe what it suits them to believe.

In the psych ward I was at in West Central Florida, they had us reenact the conditions of psychiatric hospitals from the early 21st century, where they wrestle patients down onto the dirty bathroom floors and inject with 5 different sedatives until heart medicine is required, and long-term damage occurs. It was just like being there. The simulation cost about $20,000 and now I have tardive dyskesia and I missed my father's funeral.

There was no fraud, Trump used that as a strategy and started planting the seed even before the election, claiming there would be fraud even before any voting had begun, because he knew he was going to lose and wanted to brainwash his supporters into not believing the result. Undermining democracy was his legacy.
