personally i think there shouldn't be any spec options... lasers/ILCA's are strict one design and really should be exactly the same. All these new class approved upgrades are just going to make it expensive to buy into the class, and will eventually come to the same problem the Europe Class had in the early 2000s where some of the olympic masts were said to have cost nearly £20,000

But the metal ones bend so easily it costs just as much in the long term cause you have to replace the mast pretty much every year
