Ottima qualità audio-video per questo duetto live tra Clapton e Sheryl Crow coadiuvati da un grande David Sanborn al sax. La versione originale fa parte dell’album di Hendrix “Axis: Bold as love” del 1967

R.I.P. David Sanborn. A brilliant, remarkable saxophonist. Although Clapton and Crow had discreetly laughed looking each other during Sanborn's sax performance, it has made an essential contribution to this posthumous tribute to Hendrix. Hendrix would surely love it.

i dont agree, it misses the wildness Hedrix had and Clapton didn't had. Even when they were young, Clapton was famous and Hendrix was new but Hendrix was way better and made Clapton very nervous, he didnt know what came in front of him.

Excellent cover of a classic! I love how fluidily they adapted thru this version, as Sanborn's solo goes on much longer than either Clapton or Crow thought it would. They step towards mics more than once and then step back...smiling and laughing as Sanborn just kept on rocking. They even sing over the very end of his solo...and soon after Sanborn & Clapton just share smiles. Its absolutely great seeing true artists enjoy each other on stage!

I, too, loved how happy Clapton was when Sanborn finally finished his solo-- which was *totally* in line with what Jimi did on stage quite often: one with his instrument, one with the music. And it just takes you somewhere glorious. That's what I suspect happened to Sanborn. I was so happy Clapton wasn't upset, but laughed and smiled. I wasnt expecting that!

Agreed. The Clapton solo from 05:20 onwards is technically impressive, but IMHO this "cover" as a whole does nothing to capture the delicacy and beauty of Hendrix's original song, which is all too fleeting in its less-than-3-minute duration. This Clapton version leaves me cold, I'm afraid; and I can't quite see what everyone is raving about.

James Russell There was a guy called Hendrix.. this is his song. After all these years, Clapton still doesn't have the flair to match Hendrix. I like them both.. but certainly they were not meant to be in the same league. Infact Clapton does not have the flair to match SRV, the kings, buddy guy... Or Jimmy Page when it comes to rock music. But I like Clapton.

Well, she's walking through the clouds, With a circus mind that's running wild, Butterflies and Zebras, And Moonbeams and fairy tales. That's all she ever thinks about. Riding with the wind. When I'm sad, she comes to me, With a thousand smiles she gives to me free. It's alright, she says it's alright, Take anything you want from me, Anything. Fly on little wing.

you know...I've lost my GF in a car accident and every time I listen to this song the part that says: "When I'm sad she comes to me With a thousand smiles She gives to me free It's alright, she says, It's alright." it breaks me. because that's how she was.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. When you lose a loved one (I have found) 'You must keep on living until You feel alive again'. It's not easy, but it will become better in time. As I go on, after the death of my Mr, ( he is my beloved & my bff for 45 years) I have found a small measure of comfort in music, I hope you too can also find a measure of comfort in the music.

The one thing that is so great about live concerts is the spontaneity in performing the tunes. Sax man, line forever.
