Your surgery (Reversal) and 2-month video post (April) is the most positive videos on You Tube! Also, you're having an amazing recovery! Would you say the pain is manageable and the inconsistent bowl movements make you sore, but not over the edge un-bearable, lol? I'm trying to figure what's all ahead of me in my future recovery. Once again, thank you for posting positive videos and congratulations on an awesome recovery!

Thankyou so much 🥺 i would say it was sore, but not unbearable! It’s gets better & since then my doctor has prescribed me a powder to help bulk my stool and this makes me poo like normal. The stuff works like magic. It almost feels like i didn’t have surgery. I’d definitely recommend asking your doctor if This is something he can prescribe to you. I wish you the best of luck with ur health journey. Remember to stay positive 😊❤️Thankyou so much for ur sweet comment !

Wow I’m actually less nervous about my reversal in September it looked like you took it well. I had a proctocolectomy on May 14th then I had complications leading to two more surgeries on June 16th and 18th because my intestines was really dilated causing a leak the next day leading me to go in septic shock. At that point I had given up I said no to the third surgery but they forced me anyway. I spent 45 days in the hospital, with multiple NG tubes, jp drains, went a whole month without any food but i was on TPN. Watching this lets me know this time it’ll be much smoother and I’ll be out by day 3 but I hope you are doing well in your recovery!

I had something similar too. NG tubes, TPN, drips, infections. 😟 9 months in hospital.

Hey dear,bless your a really strong girl ❤️ my mum recently had reversal surgery 3 days back,she is quite fine but only one problem that is urgency of loose stool or involuntary stool movement,she has no control over it,she doesn’t understand when the stool passes,i just want to know is it normal? Did that happen to you as well and how much time it takes to have control over bowel movement ? Please let me know will be grateful
@sabrinatodaro8436 Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much♥️ i wish your mom a speedy recovery! That is very normal, it’s something I still struggle with. It took weeks but definitely showed improvement for the urgency over time. Her bowels just need to rest and get back into a more normal routine. Because I still struggled with it post op however, and it never fully corrected 100% my doctor prescribed a powder I now take once a day that helps a lot with bulking my stool and making it less watery! It also helps with that urgency. If she still has that problem after a few weeks- months hopefully they can give her something similar to help. Wishing her the speediest recovery♥️

@sn0ds3 жыл бұрын
What’s the ring sting? I’m having my reversal next month 😅
@rebelsal3 жыл бұрын
@@sn0ds Its when you go to the bathroom the normal way, but the poo is runny as your large intestine has not yet adapted back to pulling water/acid content back into the body. The acidity can irritate the skin on the way out. I use nappy rash cream as a barrier cream, use warm water to wash and I am very gentle in using the paper! It has gotten better today I have noticed (one week since the surgery). When it stings I breathe deeply and just relax as much as I can knowing that there is no bad damage happening. Good luck with the reversal surgery- rest as much as your body tells you to while trying to get back into your normal routine/daily habits. Thats what has helped me combat the short term ring sting crisis lol. Also...not the time to eat chilli/spice foods lol!

My surgery for my reversal personally was a little over 2 hours I believe. Recovery was a lot quicker for this one, after a month I felt like I could get back to normal activities however still being careful to not strain my stomach. The scar closed up quick, and a year later looks amazing. Only thing is the diarrhea and loose stools after and urgency is something I still deal with to this day, but I’ve seen alot of improvement. I wish your daughter the best with her reversal!

I had small intestine perforation and a hole in my small intestine due to that which created this life threatening infection, Perintotis. I will have my reversal(Closure) surgery in about 2 weeks(what the doc said), actually really nervous what to expect and what to not. I would really appreciate if someone can give me helpful insights.
@sabrinatodaro843611 ай бұрын
I was most nervous for the reversal, as it was a huge deal for me after having the bag for three whole months. I think this was easiest recovery wise and pain level wise. I expected it to be a lot worse… one thing I can say is be prepared for looser stools after. From Personal experience my bowels never went back to 100% normal after 3 surgeries but I think knowing what to expect and speaking with ur doctor about medicines you can take down the road for that is important. Also, eating smaller less fiber meals after surgery will help with how much ur going to the bathroom. Any other questions please ask away! Wishing u the best of luck 🙏🏼

Im due to have my reversal soon have been all clear of anal cancer for nearly 18mnths doing good as caught early im really scared of going through it and what it will be like for pain and going normally again . Any ideas would be good glad you are doing great.
@sabrinatodaro84363 жыл бұрын
I was so nervous for the reversal, especially going to the bathroom after and the pain. I think the pain was a lot less than i expected, recovery was super quick and i went to the bathroom right away the day after! It’s hard to adjust to going again so that part is uncomfortable but i suggest using baby wipes and cream down there to help with irritation. Also eating low fiber small meals helps. I wish you nothing but the best on ur reversal and so glad ur doing better ❤️
