No doubt you are right. He brings a lot from westcoastswing in that regard. Missing this often with LindyHop: song interpretation. But to be fair, the others had pretty ... well, still good swing songs to dance to, but having lyrics to a theme just gives you a base structure already. That was kinda unfair to the others. They should pick better songs for all. But overall I am glad they changed the silly "you get a phrase or two approach". No way anyone can really build up a theme and revisit it and elaborate on it. WestCoastSwing Mixed Matches (Jack n Jills) are much better structured and Lindy would do well to borrow heavily from that experience.
