Clem Clempson on guitar played with Humble Pie replacing Peter Frampton; Coliseum, and others in Europe. He declined a Humble Pie reunion in 1980 to join Jack Bruce here! David Sancious- keyboards and guitar, played with Bruce Springsteen and Peter Gabriel and others, plus great solo records: David Sancious and Tone.

Широ охуєнно!! Який концерт безподобний! Я дуже радий, шо цей відеозапис існує. Pure bliss, as they say in the English-speaking world 🙂 Excellent setlist. Some songs here are new for me. One of Jack Bruce's best live videos I've ever come across. Unbelievably good.

Love "Post War" here. The arrangement is quite different from the studio version (Jack's solo album "Harmony Row") and it's really cool.

Thanks for the upload. I saw a similar lineup in the now defunct Capital Theater in Passaic NJ. The amazing Billy Cobham on the skins and David Sancious on second lead along with Clem . Still remember it because they blew the roof off of that old theater.

@paulbalogh4582 I saw Jack's tour that year in Chicago at Park West. When David Sancious wasn't playing keyboards, Jack Bruce was. But what was incredible was David on guitar! I'm in the front row, David gets up with a Ibanez "lawsuit" Stratocaster and just blew $hit away! Jack did slow Blues numbers playing rhythm and lead parts on his fretless bass! RIP Jack❤

Something special about watching a show in one of those old theaters.!! Some of my most memorable concerts were in those theaters that do not exists anymore.! I saw ARS, the original Journey band, Spyrogyra, Lonnie Liston Smith, and Eric Gale at the Tower Theater in Houston, Texas in the 70’s.! Great sows.!

I think he had a more suitable feel for this Band than Cobham did, Billy was untouchable with The Mahavishnu Orchestra, but Bruce Gary's style and Accentuation was more submerged, in deep with this kinda trip.He had the "knack" alright, saw them twice in '83, tore the roof off. @@dougmphilly Underrated by the general public, but not by Colosseum fans like me and connoisseurs. Besides Jack Bruce he has also played with and recorded for Paul McCartney, BB King, Roger Waters, Roger Daltrey, Billy Cobham, David Sancious, Tanita Tikaram, Mike and the Mechanics, Rod Argent, Aaron Neville, Maxi Priest, Bob Dylan , Joshua Kadison, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Kiri Te Kanawa, Roger Chapman, Chaka Khan, Sniff and the Tears, Cozy Powell, Ken Hensley, Jon Anderson, Tom Waits, Chris de Burgh, Bonnie Tyler, Manfred Mann's Earth Band, Karl Jenkins, and some more. He also worked on soundtracks for well-known films, e.g. Notting Hill. It's unbelievable that Clem Clempson, who still looks youthful today, will soon be 74 (born 5 September 1949).

Having discussions about music with guns and roses fans or those who love also nirvana and Metallica they think those bands are top shelf players compared to this band or any other jack Bruce band they are amateurs
@feellucky271
@feellucky271 Жыл бұрын
That's one opinion, just because Jack Bruce is so great doesn't diminish any other players talent I mean that's just a sophomoric Outlook. The fact that you even brought those two bands up says something about their stature in the world so if somebody were to decry a band or even Jack Bruce that you like I don't think you'd appreciate that, that's not a fair comparison and means absolutely nothing in the real world. But it is your opinion and you have every right to say it. Exercise over
@derek5168
@derek5168 Жыл бұрын
@Feel Lucky? of course it doesn't diminish their abilities those bands do have good musicians the difference is player's like Jack Bruce and those who played in his bands were of another level in the which they could improvise that level of talent also includes people like Jeff beck Eric Clapton miles Davis jimi Hendrix true innovaters which others have followed but can't emulate and never will
@feellucky271
@feellucky271 Жыл бұрын
@@derek5168 No but again that's just your opinion and as you don't know what players possibly I like there's no way that you can say whether their Innovative or not so you're just blowing smoke and I don't even care at this point anymore what your opinion is.
@derek5168
@derek5168 Жыл бұрын
@Feel Lucky? we just have different opinions mine is not better than yours and vice versa the original point I was referring to was between friends and myself who instantly dismissed the music of jeff beck jack Bruce and miles Davis without even hearing the music so they couldn't give an honest opinion in the first place I pointed out a fact to them which had been witnessed in 1962 in Cambridge when Jack Bruce asked to sit in with ginger bakers band and having not played with him previously they put in approximately 27 chord changes in an up tempo ballad that Jack had never heard or let alone played before meaning they tried to throw him off musically where he couldn't keep up and basically humiliate him publicly as a musician and according to ginger and the other musicians and people in the audience he sailed through it without any mistakes I don't think anyone from nirvana or guns and roses could play to that level they would probably admit that themselves

@@derek5168I'm 67 with younger friends that are into that music, too. It's just what they grew up with. But when it's late at night after partying, I pull this stuff out. And frankly they're amazed! You should try it Derek! There's no argument debate or contest to it? The music speaks for itself and there's no denying it! Peace to you m'brotha
