As the Title says, this is the Main Menu BGM and it kicks ass.
Pausing a game for five minutes has never been this satisfying.

My grandfather used to play this game a lot. Being a kid, I wondered, how he managed to complete the campaign over and over, while I was afraid even to walkthrough the first mission, just spending time and listening to menu music. By this moment, I have completed Far Cry 1 about 5 or 6 times, but he is no longer on Earth. Wish he could see me now, not being afraid to beat the game.

Bro, my condolences. Your story brings back my own memories. I didn't dare to play the levels where the mutants could get me, like the Archive. But those with the mercs only I did beat a lot. This game is so baddass. I learnt a whole lot of new vocabulary from the mercs in my childhood😅 My father used to sell disks in a stall on an outdoor market around the time when the game came out. He kept it. It went on four disks. At first a thought that a (grand)father wouldn't really be proud of his (grand)son playing a game but you know what? When I was 4, I still witnessed him playing it, in 2010. 20 years later, in 2024 he set up the game and played it. He seems to be so sentimental. As if it reminds him about those times as well. He says that selling counterfeit games was a very lucrative thing to do. That was in Russia, there were no piracy laws in 2004... I think I need to beat it again. It's so cool

I remember the vivid dreams my mind created while playing this game, one day, with a girl of my dreams, not by looks but by things i could not comprehend at the time, living beside me, no bullshit, no drama, just games, fun , and love. This was me back in 2004, and my imagination was incredibly realistic, up to the point in which i didn't doubt it would happen one day, and....it didn't , but still, i hope that for someone it did. did crytech even care about there 10 year anniversary they remade the best game i have ever played as farcry classic did basically nothing to the graphics, broke the game with thousands of bugs including game chrashes from picking up weapons, added ads fuck knows why and made all of the guns look like shit. it pisses me off so much after all the advancements graphic wise we have had and how the games that crytech have made look over 5 years of wanting a remake of farcry, farcry classic is the shit i get.

Ohh... I miss my first time playing Farcy! I incidently picked this one up in the bargain basement- a moth or two after it's release. 😀 That menu music was a constant in the background, cause when you paused the game, the menu music would start to play. I would pause it and finally do something constructive, like cleaning a room or washing the dishes, while this played in the background! 😀 Awesome game! Awesome times! Awesome track! Nostalgia. Moneyassholes from Ubisoft didnt payed to devs of FC as they promissed ... so in the end: Devs of FC fled from Ubi and started their own group: Crytek ... Awesome music for an incredible game. I thought FarCry 2 and 3 were alright, they both had some strong points, but I don't think they really met my expectations for a Far Cry game. I wanted to be blown away by something I hadn't seen before.

Back in those good ol' times... I remember watching my dad play this game and actually beat it. Sometimes i tried it myself but i was always scared of trigens (mostly the cooler) so i mostly played on bunker level most of the time... Sometimes i would listen to the main menu theme for like 30 minutes because of how underrated and good it sounded like... Man i wish i EVER able to re-experience this and the game itself now...

hi, same here , played during my childhood, got to reexperience the game on GOG galaxy (bought it couple month ago on sale for like 2-3$) yesterday and I gotta say, the game is still cool and addictive, already 6h30 in, its not like the first time of course but I still find the game somehow impressive, just did the level with the 2 big trigens after the elevator at the beginning, spooky shit haha, also challenging game

I played this game in 2004 once it came. I went to the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and studied Chemistry and Earth sciences because of this game. This game inspired me it also changed my personality to the better.

Recently completed this game on hardest difficulty and it was brilliant. Its the only game where I've actively sought to evade the enemy (particularly trigens) for fear of a swift and brutal demise. This was useless though because they kept tracking me!

Just finished the whole game on Realistic difficulty and no AI Balancing...FUCK YEAH. It was hard, really hard, especially at the Swamp mission (at the Vehicle part) where I died about 30 times xD

Err, dumb question: What does AI Balancing do? And yeah, that part was really difficult..

Not a dumb question, I googled it too a few months ago. AI Balancing is a "leveling" feature. It dumbs down the AI if you are repeatedly dying and makes it smarter if you go through tough parts without getting killed.
