Because when you swap any motor and transmission that didn't come from the factory with it, you have to get it Refed and Bard here in California. You also have to use the smog equipment from the year of the motor you are using. @tonyekthree

I just rebuilt my 4 speed manual transmission, put a new flywheel and clutch kit with new axles as well, only for the clutch to give out on me 2 weeks after installation 🤦🏽‍♂️😂

They are dirt cheap, you can find a Honda civic also for the cheap. Accords are slowly becoming cheaper also, just know you will go through a bunch of salvage titles before finding a clean title.

Check master cylinder under dash area above clutch pedal. We've seen some of those leak inside and hard to catch sometimes.

Cool db8 😎👍. As far as builds here in California am focusing on suspension upgrades. Its not as fancy as a K swap but keeping it reliable and high reving makes it fun. Its how i keep my #FifthGen plus suspension tuning alot more forgiving and rewarding well your actually driving your car. Power is over rated as far as going fast is concerned. Just my two cents.

You don't need to do a k swap, just opt for a b series VTEC head, wiring and ecu. We called it the poor man's type r back in the dazes.
