Kanami is afraid of heights so she especially didn't like being strapped to the top of a moving car :p . I think I can speak for everyone when I say we loved watching her solo from the roof ;) . BAND MAID is ALWAYS best live. They are a performance band all the way.

I still hear things after hundreds of listens to a song, too -- like Miku's singing with her unique vocal accents and close harmonies. Or Kanami's verse riffing around the drums and Saiki's melodies. Or MISA's independent counter riffing while incorporating a little bit of what everybody else is doing. (She's very busy. No wonder she doesn't smile much because of all that concentration). And of course Akane continues to amaze me because I'm always hearing new things from her. This is why their songs continue to grow on me after all these years. Like I've said before: Band-Maid writes and performs the most dense yet beautifully integrated hard rock music in history. Thx, Jacqueline!

Agree with all you say. Re: Misa: Once you get a chance to read some of what she has to say, and get glimpses of how she fools around with her bandmates when her guard is down, you realize that 1/when performing, she is concentrating and working very hard to do the outstanding bass work she always puts out. 2/she's funny and an interesting character, just a little shy with people she doesn't know.

I have not heard anemone yet. Thank you for the recommendation. For voice, about us, or anything from their acoustic Christmas set has always highlighted that for me. Band Maid is a genre, and I never tire of hearing more.

I saw you smile when Saiki sings "emotions". When she does that little part during the official live version of "Warning!" (available on their KZbin channel), I started crying the first time I watched it. I think the videos that showcase her talents best are the official live version of "Wonderland" and the MV of "DayDreaming".

One of the best reactions I've seen in a while and the guitar solo is amazing because kanami defines the word amazing she is an absolute genius saiki shines as well but this what you get from the living legends known as band maid be well do both its up to you

BTW, this was all real. No computer generated stuff. Riding on top of vehicles, and the fire and explosion at the end, everything. Saiki said the fire was hot, but welcome because it was cold weather. They kept freaking the crew out because they got so close to the fire. About live vs. Music Video: Yes. Both methinks. Generally their musical energy and inspiration kicks in best when they are in front of an actual human audience. But their music videos of the past couple of years show a lot of thought and artistic symbolism. I love this band.

IMHO, this song is about their experience with the tradition big corporate, highly controlling rock music industry, and "The Warning" here is that these old models for the music business wherever they are (including Japan), based on the American and British old models - notice the older big Cadillac and Jaguar - are poorly guided and will inevitably crash and burn. The artists are precariously along for the ride on them... So it is important to be standing on your own feet on solid ground when they crash and go boom. And that is what Miku and the band have been working toward all the time - more independence. BTW, none of this was CG. Everything, the cars jostling, the band on top of vehicles, and even including the explosion and fireball at the end, was totally real. Lead singer Saiki commented that it was really hot, but not unwelcome because it was a very cool day. Now compare the lyrics to that concept and see if I'm wrong. ALSO: Their MV of "Afterlife" is on the surface about the frustrations of being a "cafe maid" - but read the lyrics closely and again I believe you will see it is about life AFTER that with the music management and recording companies. Subtlety and metaphor.

Thanks for the reaction to this rocket of a rock song. If you want to focus on the singer Saiki for a reaction vid, I'd recommend a twofer: Daydreaming (rock ballad) followed by Manners (classic bluesy hard rock). Saiki is a versatile singer.

@@jacquelinevanbierk It amazes me why (in any reaction) the people who leave a 'dislike' never have the courage to leave a comment to say why. If I ever watched a reaction that led me to the need to leave a dislike, I certainly would let them know why in the comments. Haven't felt the need to leave a dislike to anyone yet. Granted, I've come across some music that just wasn't 'my cup of tea', where I didn't feel compelled to leave a 'like', but certainly didn't deserve a 'dislike'. Although the musicians & the production were good, It just wasn't for me.
