17 secs when she doodled there, you knew she was holding back and building. Mori is such a tease, we all know that but we never ever know what she will do and when she will do it. 🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽

No reaction video could fully explain her techniques with examples because she crafts almost every note with different entries, exits, subtle decoration, pulling and pushing volumes, adding breathiness, squeaks and growls, incredibly long phrases with single breaths, belting at top volumes without sounding strained, an amazing 5 octave range, and then the beautiful whistle voice phrases. I've listened to this song at least 20 times, and hear something more in it every time. Her songs are like beautiful paintings with incredible detail. Many of her decorative details are so subtle that I don't catch them until the 5th or 10th hearing. For example, listen to how she finishes the very last note. It's almost inaudible, but it's there and it's perfect.

Good to hear what you said about Ariana Grande. I also think she is a great singer, and i love when she performs for example in late night shows ( Jimmy Fallon) and does some stuff, but mostly all the songs form her i heared so far are just boring, its just this typical 21st century american pop / hip-hop shit. In the end the same why i lost interest in Mariah with her Rainbow album since there she also started to do mostly this stuff. Morisette on the other hand is more like 90s Mariah and also Whitney and Celine from the time they all did great ballads with all belting and going full out. And not this stuff where you often think that they can't even really sing or that everybody can do that.

Sadly almost every band from the 60's/70's have become cover bands. There is not a single person in the present lineup of Foreigner who performed on any of their big albums. Mick Jones, who created Foreigner used to perform a few songs occasionally but has done that less and less. Very sad that they are promoted as Foreigner....but it puts money in peoples pocket. Nostalgia sells!
