She turned this song upside down when she & Toby released Bad Valentine (Piano Diaries). All the previous performances (live & studio), although slightly different, all had her sassy attitude when she sang it. But the piano diaries version is very jazzy, slowed down, raw & melancholic. It's a whole different feel with the same lyrics, but I think it's her best performance, to date. That's how good it is!!!

Great reaction Although this video was recently shot, we now know that this song was actually recorded in 2022 so we are hearing a 16 year old Angelina. It was finally released on September 20, the day of her LA (Glendale CA) concert. A slow tempo beautiful jazzy version was released October 4. I love both versions. Each has such a different feel that they are almost like two different songs.

"Piano Diaries" jazzy version. Completely different feel. She's in her wheelhouse and more head voice--scat, runs, etc. Lots of emotions in this version via vocal changes. Piano/strings. I love this new original song, the lyrics are amazingly raw and aggressive and her voice so particular, raspy and deep it completely captures you as she performs those fantastic and beautiful tonal variations and she does it in perfect relaxation, effortless, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. Toby's accompaniment on the piano and of the band in the background, with those fascinating voices of the choir, exalt her completely, Angelina is simply fantastic, she absolutely transmits all her passion for singing. But you also have to listen to the new jazz version of this song that she just released, it seems like another song, but equally, if not more, fantastic.💛🧡❤

"Bad Valentine" deserves to be a #1 hit, but that is not easy in today's world. Record companies don't pay for songs to be played much anymore. Most people don't listen to FREE radio anymore. She wrote this with Toby about two years ago. You heard the one first performed with Toby, the official one (this one), and the live one. Then she thought about it and decided to do a blues version on Toby's channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bH3RaoeXn9iosM0 There she is not in your face with it - she is a bit sad and thinking she might not have been so bad... The best version, I think, but all very good.

I understand your desire to see the story as it happens but I see this video as the aftermath. She left him at that table for 2 and went up into the Hollywood hills to express her frustration at not being heard, she states, I told you I would mess up your world. At least I think the word is world. When I turn closed caption on most say applause so it's not catching the word. Only one said heart but I have listened repeatedly and don't hear heart.
