Great scenery there Dave. Nice walk too. You're right when you said it may have been Black Crag that mentioned the edges. We follow him too.

Good walk that with spectacular views down the gullies which can be dodgy places in mist or strong winds. Looking forward to the next one.

Hope to do this in June, so glad you did this video, hope you dont stop makng these I love them. Wastwater is my favourite place and my very first even visit to the lake District in Lockdown. I wandered around the lake not knowing what to do and watche some Hiking Videos and thought I want to do that. Thank you
@daveostlemountainman8 ай бұрын
Yea that's similar to how I started.. guess lockdown was useful for something eh.. it terrified me first time in drove into that area with all the big hills looking down on ya and judging.. yea it's a great walk, thank you for the support. Tek care 🙂

Great video Dave, been thinking of how to bag those two. Straightforward out and back seems to be the way, those views were amazing, thanks once again mate you're an inspiration to us all! 👍

Ey up Marra. I loved those two hills, possibly the best walk I have done. I did them from Miterdale and headed up the valley to Burnmoor Lodge and round the tarn and then along the ridge, the views are spectacular, I had stunning weather too (unlike what we are having at the moment). Nearly there now mate, I just can't seem to get a decent weather window at the moment to get out. All the best mate, Dave

aye theres been a couple of nice days this week, but on mountain forecast its had them down as 'shite'.. sometimes ya just take a gamble and paid off this time.. al do that route next time, looks some decent 'other' hills down that area

Yessss dave shame you had to rush these fells absolutely amazing views there to wast wata lol 😆 love this part of the lakes I've always found it my relax place here never done any of these fells my self but will defo be visiting after watching this mate good look on the last few here and must add fishing is not as good as this 😂
@daveostlemountainman8 ай бұрын
Fishing is sitting peacefully, eating all ya snacks then going home empty handed with the odd fella coming up saying 'av ya caught out' 🤣.. only difficult thing about the Fells here is the nasty road to get to them so I dont go to wastwater very often... thanks for watching, tek care lad 🙂

Great video Dave. Congrats on completing the Southern Fells. Ive still to do those two yet. it looks quite a slog from Wasdale so will keep my options open but superb views you got. Well done. Cheers

Alot of folk say go from miterdale but I personally hate those roads in that area.. the wastwater ain't much better but it's the lesser of 2 evils for me.. thanks for watching, tek care 🙂

Great video Dave, loved those views over Wast Water especially the ones on the edge. If there is little or no wind the edge is a great place to be for the views but if the wind is up then it's quite scary. We had a gusty day up there but Andrea managed to walk quite a bit of the edge and get great shots. I loved the old bridge on the way up and the freedom to walk anywhere at the tops. We had a bit of doubt about both summit tops so just bagged them all! Did I see you spill some tea?!! All the best, Ashley
@daveostlemountainman8 ай бұрын
Nahhh we dont spill tea on this channel, just a larl drop for the hill itself.. aye i wouldnt have been as confident on the edge just 2 days ago.. reet gales all over here.. i trip on that bridge every time.. thanks for the support as usual lad, tek care :)

Great video Dave with some incredible views. Didn’t look that strenuous? I’m hoping to do the Mosedale Horseshoe in the summer so I’ll keep an eye out for that video! Matt

nah very easy.. i almost ran back tho to avoid parking charges tho if i wasnt in a rush i think a nice 4 and half hour walk stress free, good path :)
