as someone who wanted to play hots but never have a chance to (SEA server is basically dead) and watch fan religiously. Thank you!!!!, I do get the grasp of the hero and what they do but never the talents.

you can have the worst team, that wont follow up, wont help will only blame and will prob troll, but if you dont give up, there is always a chance that everyone will shut up, and then start to be a team by the end and win like it was natural. i saw that far too many times, as long as nobody leaves or afks, there is always a way

I quit HOTS because I live in New Zealand and there is little to no scene in Oceania (Australia). The only game mode being QM unless you jumped on US servers and played SL or ARAM. I tried US aram and ended up getting silenced so I quit. RIP, which leads me to say I’m thankful for your content so I can still enjoy the game to some extent.

If you consider solo lane on Braxis. Illidan has a lot of bad matchups. Sonya, Arthas, Hogger. Some auto attackers like Artanis (blocks and Q build) and Twin Varian (from lvl7) will also win. Illidan even has problems with ranged heroes like Azmo and W Falstad. And since he is very squishy and relies on self heal. Often it is enough to get hit by single ability from certain heroes and you are done. For example Qhira's E then Q. Technically Illidan can win vs her but you must side step every skillshot.

Illidan has too much power baked into his passive. That, paired with his mobility, makes him an impossible to balance hero. add 100 more health to him and he becomes a nightmare. He needs his passive to be tuned down and some of the power to be added to his abilities, then maybe he can have a bit more health and be more of real hero again. before anyone says anything, dreams are still free. so gtfo

This was a lucky game. In higher ranks that kind of stuff doesnt happen. Crazy how you turned it around

Define 'lucky'. Difference in higher ranks is that they tend to know how to push the advantage. Opponents in this game didn't. It means losing team tend to not have the chance to turn the game around, but it still does happen in higher ranks (even in tourneys too). All it takes is one late game enemy team wipe (or close to) to turn the game around. That's why I always say to finish the game asap. Don't give the enemy the chance. Oh yeah. If you're the losing team, reduce your loss (if one of your team dies, fall back. don't die), bide your time (don't neglect soaking, as you need to keep up with the enemy level/talent advantage). That way, one late game enemy team wipe could land you the victory.

I play Illidan a lot and in my opinion the reason is twofold, one is that Ili is veeery squishy, so its dangerous to turn alone when they keep roaming for you (because they see you carry 30gems so ofc they look for you), but at the same time you dont want to stick with team and brawl for safe turn in because you need to finish that lvl1 quest asap chence your constantly on the move...

@@Ejsnes part of it is hes not really trying his hardest, part of it is he doesnt wanna turn in alone like you said, and part of it is hes more focused on fighting and messing around. if he macro'd his hardest and always played 100% he would have 90% wr n breeze through b2gm. think of it as kinda a self imposed handi cap. at least thats what ive gotten from his own words and actions from watching stream everyday. he gets often asked about stuff like that and usually the answer is hes not trying on purpose he doesnt wanna crush the other team and he also doesnt wanna boost his team or greif his team. its a fine line he walks playing in low elos.
