KJ didn't even play. He is a legit NBA draft pick, sat on the bench, and we still won by almost 40 points??? Wow.

​@thetruth65756 it's NOT extremely deep. We are incredibly talented 1 through 8. Number 9 can play some. But that's it. Not having KJ was scary. If we miss him in a more competitive game, and Boswell gets in foul trouble, we have an issue. Same thing goes if one of Morez or Ivicic ever misses time. As long as we're healthy, we're good. One prolonged injury though... we'll be in trouble.

@@illini4ever88 3 players scoring 20+ isn't extremely deep? 6 players in double figures against Oregon. Our bench unit can score. I don't get the pessimism.

@@thetruth65756 I think our definitions of depth are different. I see depth as a roster of 11-13 guys who can step in and do something. A team can survive an injury or two. We only have 10 eligible, scholarship players. It's pretty clear Underwood has completely written off one of those. So we have 9 guys basically. Yea, 8 of them are elite level players, but if one, or God forbid two, of them miss any significant time, or they're out for a big game like Duke, MSU or in the postseason, we're in big trouble.

@@thetruth65756 and my take was illustrated perfectly today. Without KJ, Boswell gets in foul trouble, and then we're stuck without a pg at the end of the first half. AND Boswell has to turn down his defensive intensity in the second in order to stay on the court. The guys we have are supremely talented, but there is no way to fill in the holes if one goes down. That is a lack of depth.
