@JL-XrtaMayoNoCheese Dude that’s just not true. Perhaps you should read up on fiction vs non fiction and the word “generalized” before you make such strong statements. Just because something seems realistic doesn’t make it real. Things, characters or events in movies can be based on the human experience, but that doesn’t make it real or true. It’s imaginary. If they based the kid on a real kid that would be based on real events tho. And yes, there have been kids who have saved their parents, but this particular kid is still a movie character and his action are not real. They made him save the parents for the storyline.
@Rowlol3 жыл бұрын
@JL-XrtaMayoNoCheese First of all, it’s embarassing that you think that you have a superior vocabulary… Just stop. Fiction is not “generalized” history. You’re wrong babe. This movie is not historical fiction. Schindler’s List, Dunkirk ect. is historical fiction. Educate yourself on what fiction means instead of trying to push your false idea. Btw, it’s not a straw man if what you’re saying is actually wrong. But anyways, have a nice day.

At parties pre-30s, the drunk/dosed/high women taken advantage of are seen as sluts that let it happen... especially when the one seeing it is still within or near puberty age when hormones dumb down analytical abilities in favor of reactionary emotions. Some people just needs to be sterilized so that we can make sure every human alive has moved on from such poor decision making.
@That80sGuy19723 жыл бұрын
@@sebastianwallin3726 You need to look into how puberty and its ensuing hormones affect the brain, my friend. Nobody completely "freely chooses" anything relative to the direction the hormones push while they also dim-down decision-making capability. I not only read extensively on that but I completely remember puberty... and the illusion I had back then of being "not affected" by such hormones and only know how wrong I was by remembering many of my decisions and even the "complex" thought processes involved in them. There are only two types that believe people in that age category are clear-headed... those in that age category who are in such a state... and adults who forget being that way (those are usually people who spend their life editing their memories via self-lying to paint themselves better than what they were and get into believing their narratives themselves).

She goes behind her parents back giving the security code to a guy she knows is a thug and hangs around bad people, putting her entire family in danger. She lies about him beating her to her father and makes the father look crazy to the mother when he accuses the boy of lying about him beating her. After telling her father and mother the truth about how the boy ASSAULTS her and her "best friend" the father forbids her from seeing the boy. The VERY NEXT DAY the dad comes home to find the boy in HIS backyard putting his hands all over his daughter and his wife. She continues to lie about her boyfriends shady and disgusting actions when all her father wants is her honesty. She sneaks out of her house to go drive to the guys house paster her 12pm curfew (which by the way is a super generous curfew how is she so unable to respect that?) She accuses her father of ASSAULTING THE LITTERAL CRIMINAL infront of her whole family and takes the BOYS side in the argument. She ditches her BESTFRIEND for getting r*ped by her boyfriend. She acts entitled and is truly only worried about her own well being. *Yea if you want to act so grown honey you can move out by 18, go find a job and a place to live.* If you sit there and take this kind of behavior from YOUR child, perhaps YOU are the bad parent and need to self reflect.
@firesong78253 жыл бұрын
@@CatIsMad 1. Wow, she ignored her dad's opinion of her boyfriend during a rebellious phase. Unnacceptable and unforgivable! 2. Dumb, but calling him and his friends "thugs" is stupid and would most definitely not have been how she perceived it at that point. All she did was give the security code to her boyfriend. 3. Oh wow, a teenager invited someone over while her parents were out of the house and she even had sex with said person. Totally insane for a teenager to even come up with something like that, lol. 4. Yeah, because the dad had already disapproved and she was still mulling things over. After all, it's not like David was aiming to hit her, which makes it far less black and white than him "beating her". 5/6. Again, infatuation and all David had done so far was accidentally hit her while beating up a guy out of jealousy. There's far worse things teenagers have forgiven each other over even without infatuation playing a part. The mom going along with it would make it seem even more normal/acceptable to the girl. 7. Vague. 8. Ah yes, breaking curfew is the end of the world. 9. It wasn't an unreasonable assumption to think he'd do something like that considering everything leading up to it, and of course she'd lean more towards it when she's infatuated with David and her relationship with her dad was strained. 10. She wasn't convinced by her friend and it's not like she had that clear of a view and could hear what they were all saying like we did. 11. Oh wow, a self-centered and entitled teenager. So strange and unforgivable. There are so many steps to be taken before kicking a kid out of your house at 18 of all ages. It's creepy to even imagine you as a parent with how controlling and implacable you are. Not worth talking to you anymore. Cya.

@nicoleparreira10242 жыл бұрын
It’s often love bombing! Part of the cycle of violence (or coercive control wheel we present to juries in DV cases). At the initial stage it’s to make the relationship faux-serious quickly and pretend it’s a ‘true epic love’ type thing where the accompanying red flag behavior is excused as just ‘never feeling like this before’ with someone. It will later occur to build someone up just to tear them down over and over, to lower their self esteem to nothing and fully control them.

They can be too hard, mine was but I knew why he was doing it. My father did not like any guy I had over. He didn't like the guy I was with for 7 years and was planning to marry. He only told me after it was over but man he hated him! He scared me when he admitted he had a ball pin hammer in his trunk for a full year after the break-up hoping he would run into my ex. I am so glad he did not! Not for my ex he is a POS but I wouldn't want my Dad in prison. I understand because he had to see me cry for like 5 months straight and not be myself. I was ruined. Eventually I took myself back and it is still a major thing that happened in my life but I know my life was not truly ruined even if it felt that way. I am better off actually as he lies and cheats on his wife, so I'm glad I caught him and did not marry him only to be treated like that!
