I used to be like Tim having high expectations on my best friends. But later on I realise that I can't expect them to be there for me when I needed them the most as they may have their own issues or unable to provide support. I learned that I should be grateful for the maximum support they can give and not rely too much but be independent.

Then you shouldn’t be there for them either when they demand the same. I started doing this and it saves me a lot of unnecessary heartache and feeling like I’m being used at their convenience. I only give what I get. I had friends who lashed out at me for not being regularly in touch but as soon as I started being regular and needed them, they seriously didn’t cared yet expected me to give them my 100% time, attention and devotion.

I can completely relate to this because I went through this myself. This hit me deep in the heart and emotions. Like a quote said “they said I changed a lot. I said a lot changed me.” A buddy and I who I haven’t talked to in awhile and I are working on letting go of the past and move forward. We’re trying to rekindle our friendship again after so long.

I can kind of understand. I was in a relationship from September until March, and my best friend and I hardly ever talked about it after the breakup. Girlfriend gets two best friends who called themselves brothers back together. I give it to Martha she's one heck of a wonderful girlfriend. The thing is best friends are like brothers or sisters but best mates for life. Whether you grew up together. Like first met as pre school friends heading to primary school then high school or college or university or polytech. When two boys meet for the first time in pre school or kindergarten and they're still best friends through primary school and then go different paths in high school or college and university or polytechnic their lives would change hugely over the years of no contact until the one day when they meet each other again and the past comes back to why they stopped talking to each other after leaving primary school. But for these two guys who were high school roommates and best buddies a.k.a brothers and then they're not. Until Martha reunites the best buddies after finding out from her boyfriend why he and Ritchie stopped talking and stopped communicating as best friends and she came up with a plan that reunited her boyfriend and Ritchie's friendship and it happened. And it's all thanks to this boyfriend's girl Martha.

If someone is hiding stuff it is not an honest relationship.Martha and Tim had been together a year and it seemed she knew nothing about him. People should respect each other. It's nice it had a happy ending even if Martha was a little forward about it. I brought my husband and his brother back together again. I had a friend like Tim for years and tried to help him through every problem. After 15 years he hated me because I have a family and couldn't help him as much. Hey wrote me off. It's sad but life goes the on and he will always be in my thoughts.

No. If i had a partner and i had trauma or something happened between a friend and i didn’t want to tell them, then i don’t have to. If my partner loved me enough then they would understand that i don’t have to tell them those type of things until i get comfortable. It was NOT martha’s place to reconnect them. If they wanted to talk or if it was meant for them to talk again then it would happen one day.. Martha should have stayed out of the way and let it happen or not happen. She’s super nosy and i would have dumped her for interfering in a past friendship. 🤦🏻‍♀️
