I recently took closer notice that Kari Jobe sings about the "SUN" being dead and "fallen" before she switches to singing about the cross in the song "Forever." I'm not so sure Natalie... In these times we must have discerning eyes, lest we become deceived... I was telling someone else that my Father and I were going to go up for Sozo prayer a few weeks ago to Bethel, until the Holy Spirit showed us many signs to avoid going. I've been leery of their theology ever since I heard Bill Johnson preach that "you should fear your wife." The Scriptures tell us to fear YHWH and love our wives. The scriptures also say that "there is no fear in love." 1 John 4:18. That being said, I've heard Bill relay some profound revelation. But I've also heard great teaching from TD Jakes right before he doned his Jesuit outfit. :( I've finally come to the realization that they give ALL these guys something good to say to tickle our ears.. I also met a couple that used to attend Bethel who moved farther south and were shocked at what they saw - lots of new age/eastern mysticism practices. Listen, I speak in tounges, believe in healing, and love miracles; but I watched a video of a few guys going out to heal from Bethel - it was filled with pride. :( I'm sure the kids love the power of JesusCULTure, but there's something not right there. I still listen to some of their songs, but I'm trying to ween myself off of them, because some of them simply aren't being sung to Yehoshua (Jesus). Namely "Forever," by Kari Jobe. There's just too many dots that connect... I just saw another song "Wind of the Spirit" where the singer was wearing Rosary beads. Yikes! Now that I've focused on the lyrics more and the imagery on the videos and CD covers, it is becoming more and more apparent that the enemy is at work in all these major Christian labels. If you look at who's listening to bands like Hillsong UNITED, who Kari Jobe also sings with, you will see avatars of half naked young women with feminist proclivities and non believers who are new age (declaring that the songs would sound great if they just had the Jesus parts taken out), and other "Christians" who are all about ecumenism. So I'm actually starting to accept through the many signs like these songs just aren't healthy. And trust me I am Very disappointed, because they sound Great! :( I'm moving along slowly in love and caution. Maybe the singers just don't know? In any case I'm still holding out that Kim Walker is authentic. Her testimony is wonderful and she's right... Prayer and praise should change you every time into a closer resemblance of the Father's character! YHWH bless you Natalie! :)

Some people are more visually prophetic and express it through art. Although anything could be worship if you're doing it for God, it can help people to see what's going on in the spirit :D either that or they're bored ;)

Worship is a our expression of love and devotion; it is, in mortal terms, art. Music, dance, painting, writing--even how we live our day to day lives can be profound manifestations of love for God. Worship is expression fueled by the need to glorify Him, the overwhelming desire to lavish love upon Him, the light of the fire of the Spirit within us that we simply cannot contain. Worship is not one rigid task that we must fulfill in His name, it is a way of life that we cannot help but follow with gladness. It is broad and can be done through many things, including painting. If God has given you a talent, it is more than a blessing to use it for His glory. I have a friend who is a painter and all of her work is done in Worship. People from all over my community were drawn to the beauty of her work in a way that was commonly described as profound or unexplainable, and thus approached her wondering where her inspiration came from and heard her testimony. I also paint in worship! It's my joy to express the beauty of the Spirit with my own precious, God-given talent. It's so incredible how the Lord speaks to our hearts in such ways that would otherwise be considered mundane. It's humbling. HE is humbling in his tenderness and ability to transform the most ordinary human tasks into works that speak to broken hearts and draw the lost out from the dark. John, whatever your talent may be, be fearless in your Worship. Do not deny your heart, because that is where God wants to work; God will use you in beautiful, awe inspiring ways with His love and your own willing spirit. I pray that you be transformed through Him with such boldness that people can't help but be drawn to you and the manifestation of His glory!

I think its pretty cool that they do this. Very unconventional and spontaneous. I believe that the Lord has an opportunity to reveal Himself in different capacity through this expression. These talents and gifts of art are given for worship as well. The bible is full of this any way when they designed the tabernacle of witness. God is perpetual. He is constant. He is Who He is. We are trying to play ketchup with mustard trying to figure Him out. He must be revealed.
