One thing I love about Illumination is how hard they go with their villains. Like Scarlet and the Vicious 6 trying to kills kids (Bob and Gru), Jimmy Crystal trying to drop Buster from atop a million story building, Sergei from Secret Life of Pets 2 legit about to shoot a baby tiger and maybe even the pets, Bowser beating the crap outta Mario mercilessly, and now Maxime kidnapping a baby and mutating it into a cockroach hybrid. Like no holding back IMO.
