I've been meaning to read this, too, but I don't even have a copy yet. I have a copy of his long novel, but I need to read that, too. Great video.

As bitter as Thunderman is I thought it had some of the most immersive writing and memorable chapters of anything I've read in a while.

There's no logic to this but as I didn't finish Jerusalem I don't feel allowed to read any more Moore 😕

I'm a long time Alan Moore fan but i don't think you should feel guilty about not being able to finish something as dense as James Joyce or Willy Shakespeare. Most of the stories in this collection are enjoyable, more easily digestable and the themes of Thunderman, despite being a bitter yet cathartic exercise for moore, is probably the most coherent and accurate criticism of the american comics industry and everyone involved with it i have ever come into contact with. Still depressed about it, but it has forced me to grapple with the reasons for my addictive behaviour. Fredric Wertham got a whole country into a state of mass hysteria with his book seduction of the innocent, yet his ideas make no sense and even today people parrot the phrase 'comics rot your brain.' Thunderman is forcing me to confront the more actual and imminent dangers of pop media rotting my brain. Need to check it all out when you have the chance.
