So a card I learned is really good against Ursula is Tiana Celebrating Princess who has an ability similar to Gothel but instead it makes it so that the opponent can’t play actions. The only problem is you need to have no cards in your hand so you’ll need to be top decking the whole game once she’s out.

Unfortunately you will have to be one of the players at the grand championships. Only they can win one right now. It does look awesome and the artist did a fantastic job. It not just a great character art like make of the card's artworks but also gives the sense of a epic combat about to begin against a impossible foe. I hope other playmats like this will be made where Disney characters (many they be villains or heroes) look like they are about to fight you in a no holds down beat down and you are the underdog. Just adds a sense of epicness.

If i have a card saying her characters can't quest, do they challenge or don't do anything?

In this game mode, Ursula’s cards will ONLY challenge if they have reckless. Which, in her current deck, no characters has it. However, you as a player, might use effects to force her characters into reckless. But even if her characters are unable to challenge because of a card you are using, remember that Ursula has other cards that allows her to earn lore as well. ^^

For two players, Ursula’s draw starts at 2. The Extreme battleground adds an extra card to increase the difficulty (3 total). So that’s what you’ll see in this video. It’s only 3+ player games that would start Extreme with Ursula drawing 4.

In the official rules, it states that Ursula’s characters only challenge if they have reckless. If they don’t have reckless and can’t quest, they do nothing. So Mother Gothel is a good way to exploit the game on Extreme

With Mother Gothel, since Ursula characters cant quest shouldn't they have challenged? The cheese me and my friends are going to try is the new Ursula Garden location. Give her characters -1 lore, in the player rules it doesnt say you can't quest for 0. and we asked our head judge and he said with our current rules that you are able to quest for 0 if you would want too, so since Ursula HAS to quest if able, she just quests for 0

The rules doesn’t account for it but if the characters can’t quest or quest for zero it seems pretty obvious they should challenge per the reckless rules. I guess it just depends if you actually want to play challenging or rules lawyer cheat your way to victory 🤷‍♂️

Hey there! According to the rules that comes with this product, it states that Ursula’s characters would ONLY initiate a challenge, if they are Reckless. In this set, however, none of her characters have reckless. 🤷🏻‍♂️ But, as a player, you can also use abilities to “force” reckless on Ursula’s characters, so that’s another choice. Regarding the Ursula Garden location, that’s a really good point (and if indeed is “allowed”) it’s a great way to cheese her lower cost characters that quests for 1. I never actually thought about it, whether if a character can quest if they have “0” lore. I just assumed they couldn’t, since there isn’t nothing to quest for. But at the same time, I know that by the rules, you could theoretically use items to “heal for 0”. So if we follow the same mindset, that would work. Let me research a bit on that and get back to you here later. But obviously your head judge might have a better understanding than us. ;)

@@InkbornHeroes sure but the rules don’t cover a wide variety of situations like what if you make them discard a card and it’s their choice. The only resolution we had was ask WWUD “What would Ursula do” and if the only option to gain a benefit was to challenge we did it by the rules provided. They would have had to make far more extensive ruleset to cover every ability scenario and combination.

@@nathanrhoades6504 incorrect, the rules state her characters MUST quest if able. SO even if her characters are questing for 0 they have the ability to quest and must do so per the rules. You have to do some cheesy things to beat extreme. otherwise it is just impossible. She plays 4-5 cards a turn with multiple board wipes and all her characters are WAY overstated. If you aren't trying to cheese her or do some insane combo you wont win.

@@InkbornHeroes you can't banish her items with her actions. On her cards the opposit/opponent player is you. Also the order of her turn is wrong, you have to follow the numbers of her play mat. I think you forgot to quest for her sometimes

I think you’re referring to the action “Fortunate Hit” which states: “The opposing players together choose one of YOUR items and banish it.” In this instance, it’s from Ursula’s perspective so the players choose the item to banish. This was the only time outside of Ursula’s Contract we banished items. As for the turn order, we were following the playmat each time. Ready - Set - Resolve the Row - Draw.
