This is mind-blowing! We have several books, some for children, from our museums. You can slide a page with slits across a picture and get the illusion of animals moving or things changing. And we have pop-up books from a museum where you pop up a mirror and suddenly all the random dots and lines form a picture. We love these things! Thank you very much!🤗

Seemingly, it's a combination of at least two principles of optical illusion. anamorphosis (projection) and mirroring (reflection). It seems to incorporate the science behind the zoetrope/phenakistoscope, plus anamorphic art? Possibly a 3D lenticular effect, as well??
