Thank you so much, this is a fantastic tutorial. There's nothing worse than a squeaky clean rendering without anything gritty in it. Just doesn't feel right. That's why I love this approach - it's a great mixture btw. technical and artistic. Really Good! It's definitely no begginer stuff, but with a bit of training it's doable. Great Vid!! Short addition for the trees: why don't you make a custom brush and make it dynamic, pressure sensitive and set scatter to random - it's a great way to place organic groups - helps with large crowds of people as well :)

I would say check your render settings and up them a little more.

Or reset you VRay settings. Especially if your scene was made with an older version of VRay. You reset by switching to scanline and then back to VRay.

How are the white lines on the shore, that appear on 43:50 to 44:05 created? i love them and they make that part much more interesting. I cant realy replicate them. Any suggestions? I guess they are not hand drawn

Thanks for your kind words, you can draw those with a simple brush (recommend the square one) and just slowly draw and adapt to the contours of the terrain. This was all done quite intuitively to what felt right.
