The best thing he could have said is not worry about the percentage, but worry about the priority.... That ministered to me immensely...because we should give as God prospers...... we are no longer under the old law, but under grace...

this is soooo good! Thank God! had been practicing the habits of tithing since then and God has never failed to do wonders in my life. Bills are paid, zero debts, peaceful life, no sickness and diseases, and God even used me to bless others. Sometimes there are blessings that I don't see coming nor the ones that ever cross my imagination that I would receive one day. It just arrives and it's continuous. I feel so highly favored. I'm not rich but I'm blessed.

God never commanded Abraham or Jacob to give tithe, it was what they decided to give to the lord to show gratitude, it so happened that it was the tenth. That is the same way we are called to give to God under the new convenant. This is because Jesus is our high priest after order of Melchizedek Psalms 110:4, Hebrews 6:20, 7.

When you give your tithes to the church you not just paying the pastor. You helping pay the church employees, you helping pay the bills. You basically paying to keep the lights on. This perspective is coming from a pastors son who has seen where the money goes. Is there some money hungry pastors out there yes.. but don’t let a few bad seeds destroy your heart towards giving to the church.

If the person doesn't have anything left should not the church turn an give to them. After all that's what the Levi priest did to those who were without.

New Testament mentions nothing on Christians having to pay tithes. Jesus and His disciples never paid tithes neither did they instruct anyone to do so. Where is tithing taught in the New Testament? There is no scripture whatsoever in the New Testament asking Christians to tithe. When Jesus once referred to the practice, he was talking about Pharisees who were still under the Law of Moses and not about New Testament believers. Christians ARE NOT under Mosaic law and that includes TITHING So stealing from people through the LIE of Tithing IS NOT OK. Pastors that tell you to TITHE are liars thieves and charlatans If Jesus and the apostles did not TITHE what would make you think we as Christians SHOULD have to TITHE. JESUS never gave a percent. GIVE WHAT YOU WANT JESUS SAID GIVE FREELY NOT UNDER PRESSURE 7 Reasons Christians Are Not Required to Tithe 1. Believers are no longer under the Mosaic covenant (Rom. 6:14-15; 7:5-6; Gal. 3:15-4:7; 2 Cor. 3:4-18). 2. The examples of Abraham and Jacob are not normative patterns. 3. Tithes were given to the Levites and priests, but there are no Levites and priests in the new covenant. 4. The tithe is tied to the land Israel received under the old covenant. 5. When Jesus affirmed the tithe, it was before the dawn of the new covenant. 6. Nowhere is tithing mentioned when commands to give generously are found in the New Testament. 7. Give Generously NOT A PERCENTAGE NOT UNDER PRESSURE. 2 Corinthians 9 7 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. He who oppresses the poor to make more for himself Or who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty. Do not rob the poor because he is poor, Or crush the afflicted at the gate; For the Lord will plead their case And take the life of those who rob them. However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “He who practices them shall live by them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree

this teaching is wrong. the tithe is not the firstfruits.
@troymykink63223 ай бұрын
Exactly! Not to mention, the scripture actually says to give the first fruits of ALL your INCREASE! The key word is "ALL" and the next keyword is "INCREASE"!... not just finances. All increase.

To give to God,is not with money for the fat pastor...but to give to the poor and animals in need.

This is Not who the First fruits are!! I can’t say that you are a False teacher yet, but with this topic you are WRONG! Repent
@troymykink63223 ай бұрын
Listen I agree with you! But you are out of line by calling this man a false teacher. I am not defending him. I literally know nothing about him. This post is the only thing I've ever seen from him butt before slinging such slanderous and derogatory names or labels around against a possible brother in the lord, maybe you should take some time to understand the difference between a false teaching and a false teacher. Maybe he is just as ignorant and unlearned as most people are when it comes to this subject about first fruits and the tithe. It is far too easy these days for people to just so carelessly throw divisive and destructive names around and to make accusations towards brothers or sisters in the Lord and expect no consequences. God is watching everything we say and believe you me, we are all going to take account of these things that we say and do in the name of the lord when we Face the righteous judgement seat of God almighty! Especially when they are leveled at a potential or possible brothers or sisters in the Lord. Please my friend, truly take some time to think twice about what you say before you say it. There is so much division and hatred in the body of Christ that it is no wonder that non-believers want nothing to do with us. My heart is breaking more and more all the time because I am watching my brothers and sisters in the Lord quite literally act the same divisive and hateful way that the world does. Sometimes it's even hard to tell the difference between Christians and non-christians. And the devil is absolutely having a hay day by sewing so much Discord within this wonderful family that God has so mercifully and graciously adopted us into. Maybe I'm wrong but I think our father is displeased with the way his children are acting simply because we may have different denominations or different backgrounds or different cultures or way of worshiping him or even have some disagreements about Doctrine... but I'm pretty sure most of us have the same fundamental love for jesus. Why is it that we think so highly of our opinion that we can just put people on blast without a second thought to check our heart and motive and intention and see if it would even be fruitful to say something in the first place??? I'm only saying this to you because recently I've been thinking a lot about how opinionated people are and how destructive social media has been because people truly do think so much more about their opinion then we ought to! Anyway you can do what you want with that but I'm hoping it might minister to you and make you think twice before throwing out a term like false teacher. That is a brother in the Lord that you're saying that about and even if he is wrong, how do you think Jesus feels about you saying that about a brother that he died for?
