ILNP really just kills it with the multichromes. You really have to see the more subtle shades on a fully cloudy day to get the best effect. It's kind of like seeing holo in full sun, the effect is just insane. That's why I like wearing a holo topcoat over a multichrome, you get the best of both worlds!

I have five ILNP polishes from last summer. Fell in love with ILNP immediately. One multichrome, Sirene, shifts from deep red to purple to cobalt blue to teal to green - blew my mind. What you see depends on the directionality of the light; I like LED and sunlight best. I still have a "topper" called Supernova that is multichrome glitter that matches Sirene that I have not tried yet.

I have both holo and multichromes. I live both. I tend to go for the holo first unless the mulitchrome is just so intense I can't pass it up. I usually do plain mulitchrome on my toes and the holo on my fingers. That's just how I roll.

I buy with the holo because while multichromes are fun, I want my nail polish to be as crazy as possible without having to add any toppers. I really don't like using toppers, they make me upset haha.

I kind of feel the same! I don't want to add too many layers, since I already generally use 3 thin coats of color, plus my basecoat. I also have been using two topcoats -- one regular, followed by a quick dry one, to increase the longevity of my mani. Sometimes I just don't know where to fit a topper in to that already busy process.

I definitely prefer the non-holo versions since as you said, I can always add a holo top coat. But their multi-chrome formula is amazing so I like them without the holo.

Completely passed on this Christmas collection. I think the launch was too late in the season to receive and use these. I’m also noticing, their last few collections are producing several colors that are extremely similar. I did pick up the 3 holo versions of the multi-chromes and LOVE those. I’m wearing Stardust now and love it! So pretty!

I don't know what I would have wanted, but I feel disappointed by the holiday collection. I did, however, get the 5 piece Black Friday release. In the past I've only bought the multichrome, like Cygnus Loop, without the (H). But I wanted to try them both this time.

I love both collections. They really have been banging on the pastels with opaque glitters lately. Snow Globe is gorgeous with that gold flake. Last summer's Snow Cone was similar but more of a blue white with opaque glitters. So fun! For binge watching I recommend Last Man Standing, Tim Allen kills me. Supernatural. Mmm hot boys, great storylines, and the guys are really into giving back to their fandom. I like the older shows, as well. M*A*S*H is one of my all time favorites. I've been binging 6Teen, the Total Drama franchise, and Stoked on KZbin. Animation but they're so much fun! Total Drama Island is my fave, I think.

I just got to try stardust holo tonight, and I completely agree. The shift is different than my other ILNP multichromes. It's beautiful, don't get me wrong, but I'd have probably thought it was a gray with teal shimmer and holo if I didn't know. It actually reminds me a little of the color kissed dark holos which I have a bunch of and love (I actually don't have the teal one though.) So, in a way, unexpected win anyway! I'm going to try it over black and see if that does anything 🤷‍♀️

Recently I've been also rewatching a couple I liked before and finding I don't like them anymore and iasip is one of them. I've found there are some shows I only enjoyed once though which is more unusual for me

I prefer the holo versions. My application isn’t that great, and I feel like most multichromes require extra careful application to avoid streaking. The holo helps hide any brush imperfections!

I usually put the ultra chrome polishes from ILNP over black. It helps to bring out the color shifts. And I prefer the holo versions usually.

OMG, it's so hard which ones to pick but I'm going with Stardust (H) and Sleigh Bells and maybe Snow Globe they are all so pretty. I am also Binge watching TV shows, I've seen CSI: Miami, CSI, The Golden Girls (So Hilarious) and now I'm watching Stargate SG1, Saving Hope and ER. I LOVE the holographic versions of multichromes ALWAYS. I do love Eclipse holo and without, but that is the only multichrome I love without holo. I bought Stardust in the holo version and Eclipse in regular and holo. I also love Snow Globe, Sleigh Bells, and Prancer. I'll probably buy those too.

I bought Shockwave and Stardust in holo, just tried Shockwave (H) and it leans more teal than blue/purple. Not as color-shifty as some of theirs from the past. Their classic Birefringence is the best multi-chrome nail polish I've ever tried.

The brown undertones in Dear Santa are actually what I like most; I find it to be a subtle, rich red. I will be getting the three darker colors for sure; I’m on the fence with the other three. Snow Globe is gorgeous, I’m just not sure it’s a color that would work for me. Thanks for releasing your swatch review early, I was dying to know what will be in this release. 😄 I just received the regular Eclipse and cannot wait to try it. I love ILNP duochromes! For the reasons you stated, I am inclined to buy the non-holo version.

I LOVE their holographic colors and I tend to buy those more than anything else from them but I actually just preordered the holiday collection. I love that Dear Santa is a deep rusty red shade. It's different than the usual Christmas red. All of the colors are STUNNING! Thanks for sharing!

Eclipse is just special on its own!! 🌑 Would I still wear the holo version; sure I would, but I prefer the original. Also Snow Globe is lovely!! ❄️ I would actually love to see the exact same shade as Snow Globe but with silver flakes instead of the gold. I know it wouldn't have the exact same vibe, but I usually associate snow globes with having either white, silver and/or silver holo flurries of 'snow'. ☃

I get multichromes. I have purchased the My Private Rainbow holo topcoats so I can add them to the multichromes when I want and can also spice up my other cremes vs being tied down with the H versions of multichromes.

I’ve purchased two multichromes from ILNP, Cameo without holo and Fireside with holo. Cameo is my fav, it has a great shift, Fireside was basically a burgundy color with holo. With multichromes, you never really know what you’re getting until you apply it, some shift beautifully and some barely shift at all. While I completely adore ILNP, my main issue is the photography. I have quite a few that I think are going to look one way and look more dull in real life.

I got the email from ILNP about the holiday collection and almost broke for Dear Santa cause I also thought it looked like a multichrome; almost like a brighter red version of eclipse? Normally I get the regular version and of my all time favourite colours I have the holo version also. For example I have both versions of sirene from ILNP. It is the same for the fun lacquer multichromes.

Eclipse is easily my favorite polish I own at the moment. Its one that I got right away the first release AND got the holo version and have no regrets. I think I usually go for the holo ones because it saves me a step.

I’m a huge fan of most of ILNP polishes. But for me I prefer the non-holographic versions. Because I like the option to wear it both ways with a Holo topcoat. Although I was tempted to buy the Eclipse (H) version for Black Friday. Because I want all the versions of that polish. LOL! I bought shockwave holo for black friday and i will say that the shift really shines in sunlight! it's much more subtle indoors but i like how it's light to dark blue depending, and then outside it goes crazy and it's so gorgeous! i'm guessing stardust would be the same, tho i didn't buy that one in the end (i may pick it up later tho cuz it's so pretty). It's my first holo multichrome from ilnp, i usually just get the regular multichromes which are already amazing, but i'm a fan of the holo, i don't actually own a holo topper and i like the extra little pizzaz it gives so i'm tempted to pick up some more holo versions.
