There are two sides to ILOILO -The modern and the heritage. The modern side is there for all to see. But our people and Government in ILOILO like to keep our Heritage areas as classic Heritage as possible. For the ignoramuses, those people who are ignorant of the priceless value of heritage structures, these heritage buildings are of no importance. Forgive their ignorance We call then in our Hiligaynon language as "manul". Nevertheless, we prefer to continue caring for our heritage buildings, mansions, churches, fountains, belfries, Spanish era plazas, and American era turn-of-the-century parks and monuments. These are what distinguishes our city from the ordinary cities in the Philippines. These are what tourists like to see in ILOILO, the Paris of Asia and the Philippines.

Hindi maliit ang ILOILO, mas malaki ang commercial area nito at mas marami ang malls, hotels, restaurants, fastfoods, cafés, bistros, unlimited buffets, pastry and bakery shops and traffic lights compared to smaller cities like bacolod. And ÍLOÍLO City is clean and orderly and drivers are disciplined compared to the other cities.
