The rod inclusions definitely point towards peridot, the clarity rules out prehnite and such.

Very nice. It very much does look like peridot.😅 I like how you took the time to label the mystery bag "?" I have too many boxes and bags just not labeled because the writing comes off and I had to start putting a label on the inside of the bag. Time to break out the refractometer. Happy new year!🎉

@@calebgibson1999 yes. I got a lot of stones from this lady in Southern California last year when I bought her machine. There’s a lot of bags with question marks on them. Probably her writing wore off the bag but yes, you are right. It’s the perfect time to possibly even do a video about a refractometer

@JustinKPrim Absolutely, I think you are right, that would be a good video. Probably would be good for new faceters to see too. It's very rare to see a video actually looking at the refractometer reading, I guess because it's hard to get a camera on the lens. I think the first time I saw the line movement from the polarizing filter of a tourmaline was a magical experience for me personally.

You could do some shorter vids. Pick a common design. Explain what it is best suited for. What are its pros and cons. Much like you did with the briliant and step cut on the emerald.
