he switched to apacs..its a UK based company..its not much known around the world but produces very good quality rackets at pretty reasonable prices..m from india..got to know from some sports retailer and did an extensive research on that brand and finally purchased apacs feather weight 200 2-3 weeks ago..its pretty good n has many other models too.. they are venturing into market these days strongly n i guess its a great move to have Lin Dan as their brand ambassador..

I think she just made a mistake. Whenever someone hacks it she calls fault cuz she assumes the bird is going out of play. Usually it happens when someone smashes it and the opponent can only get a piece of it. If she doesn't call fault and it lands out, it looks the the person smashed it out. She just called fault way too soon.

anyone catch what the fault on 25:26 was on? It obviously didn't hit LD's body, maybe she thought it was a carry? Either way, it was so fast and unclear that the umpire probably shouldn't have called a fault. It was a fantastic defensive shot if it was legal because Sasaki was all over that smash.

I think I know why a fault was called against Lin Dan. When a player (Lin Dan) hits the shuttle but it lands on his own side of the court, then a fault is called. In my experience most umpires quickly call the fault even before it lands. The umpire in this match did that because she thought Lin Dan's defensive shot was not going to go over the net. She was wrong, that's why Lin Dan was so shocked. Also, it can't be a carry because the smash was too fast. And it didn't hit Lin Dan's body. If a shuttle hits someone's body, it wouldn't travel that far.
