After the brash opening number of Mission:Impossible, then to play in such a subdued way for Black Orpheus is almost breathtaking. Imagine being a soloist for that number and having this huge band playing softly behind you. Wow! This band is sensational!

Thank you for a well organized and enjoyable selection of music! These students look like they really enjoy playing these arrangements. Kudos also to the xylophonist! You hear very few arrangements that include this instrument these days! I thoroughly enjoyed this! 😋😋😋

I've been in the hospital and long recovery after a complete knee replacement. The first thing I wanted to hear again was a KUHS jazz concert. As so many have noted they do everything well. Their music not only helps heal my body, but more importantly my soul as well. Thank you so much director and band of KUHS . My guess is the coronavirus has you closed down for now, but you'll be back with even better videos. Thanks I Love Brass for the great postings. God bless and keep you all!

WOW!! If only we had such depth of great bands here in America. The Japanese are light-years ahead of us, and we will never catch up to them. When I die, I want to go to Japanese Band Heaven. When it comes to marching and concert bands, the Japanese are the Masters Of The Universe!

Words fail me. I simply cannot believe how high the standard of music these high school students are achieving ! Really impressed by them all, most specially by the soloists and their improvising. Excellent!

WOW! Now that is what I call a BIG BAND!!! Fun to see the kids also enjoying their music as much as I do. Smiles all around. Hard to believe that they are just high school kids. Wind instruments sure beat the tar out of synthesized "music," don't they? This is as good as attending a "pops orchestra" in the states. I'd pay good money to see this band. Very nice videography, ILB. The slow pans of the band let us see everyone and the audio really lights up my subwoofer-based sound system!

I am so happy is all I can say after watching this. Thank you I Love Brass.
Great as performed. But I believe Mission:Impossible was origionally composed in 5/4 time.
@braintreecat2 жыл бұрын
Yes it was. They state the melody and opening in 5/4 but for some reason, go to 4/4 for the solos and ensemble work. Odd because the Japanese are so good at math (!!!!)

Great ensemble-but why play "Mission Impossible" in 4/4 instead of 5/4 )original). These are Asians=I'm sure they can handle the meter!!! Nice bai solo.
