Girl all your cards are beautiful! ❤ Very cute! Especially the little ring around the mermaid! 🐠🐢🐚

Thinking that the acetate is "sitting" within the ring with the top Mermaid section on it. And it is the outside top that is keeping it in place to spin. Is this right? Pretty.

Is the Scan n Cut worth getting? I just recently bought the Cricut Explore Air 2 but it only cut properly for about 2 weeks. I have been troubleshooting with support for weeks. I keep spending money on dies and keep thinking for what I paid for the Cricut I shouldn't have to keep buying dies. This Scan n Cut looks amazing but is it really accurate? I am not the best at fussy cutting not to mention it is very time consuming! Appreciate your input.
@ILoveDoingAllthingscrafty7 жыл бұрын
Hi Jenny. For the longest time I resisted getting another machine as I have the Silhouette Cameo and could do the exact same thing the snc2 does with a pixscan mat, but the process requires multiple steps which if you are doing lots of stamping for die cutting it can become time consuming. So I finally caved and opted for the snc as it is quick and doesn't require it to be hooked up to the computer at all. I really wasn't interested in the snc for all the rest of its capabilities b/c I love the Silhouette and still use it for svg cutting etc, although I know that the snc has that ability as well. I'm not sure that the Cricut can do scan and cut functions, just not familiar with it. So for me the snc is working great, worked perfectly from the start. I calibrated it from the start and it has been very accurate. Stamp, scan, cut, that is it! Only this I dislike is the mat... really flimsy and only sticky for about 4 uses. I end up using a lot of masking tape to hold my paper in place. I have seen others glue another brand mat onto it. I justify the snc by not having to purchase any more coordinating dies, and no more fussy cutting. Hope this helps!

I Love Doing All things crafty! I will have to practice when I get my craft supplies built back up! I am currently trying to rebuild my craft supplies after I lost everything in a house fire last year and on a very limited income as I was diagnosed with cancer a month after the fire so it's been difficult but I have faith someday I will be creating again. in the meantime I love watching you and getting inspired.

JaNetNMelissaWise Awe, that is so heartbreaking. I'm so sorry to hear that! I hope that you are on your way to health and rebuilding again. Cancer sucks! That is actually what I see all day long at work. I have been an Oncology nurse for almost 20 years now and really do love it. But, crafting is my therapy!

I love this card but I am unsure how to create the spinner part. I wish you had slowed down and explained that part. I have everything except the spinner discs which I understand I will need to purchase.
@ILoveDoingAllthingscrafty7 жыл бұрын
Thank you and I apologize for the the speed. Basically all you want is to create a ring that will spin without obstruction. To do that, you use foam tape to lift the outside and the inside parts of the circle area (top layers). Make sure your ring is cut slightly larger than the opening (top circle) to keep it from falling out. You just need to make sure no glue/foam tape touches the ring. Really it's like making any other slider card except this time you mount the elements on a ring instead instead of on a single disk. Hope that makes sense? If not, ask away... I'm happy to help you figure it out ;)

Love this I think it's excellent and thank you for sharing. I am tho very confused about the ring section still not getting it in my head how you did it. Is there any way you can put that section on again but in real time. Thank you
@ILoveDoingAllthingscrafty7 жыл бұрын
Hi Denise. Unfortunately I no longer have the footage to the video. So I will try to explain the steps. Using two circle dies, cut the ring out of your top panel. You will then need cut a larger circle out for the bottom panel as I did in the video or you can skip that step and use the card base. The next thing I did was glue the ring I had cut out from my top panel to the base of the card or the circle I previously cut. Then you will need to cut the acetate ring, wider than the ring you previously cut the from the top panel. Once all these pieces are cut out you can assemble the card. Pop up the center piece using some foam tape, sandwiching the acetate ring between the bottom panel and the top panel. Making sure that the rings don't touch the foam tape anywhere or it may not spin smoothly for you. You will also want to pop up the outside part of the top panel so that it creates a level surface for your elements to slide over. Add your slider discs to the acetate and then add your images. Hope this helps you with the process. Sorry I couldn't show you how in real time.

Oh cold country, most of the prairies are moving to Vancouver Island, we've had a huge influx in Courtenay where I am. I was watching you use the Scan N Cut, I might have to look into that machine. I just bought my first die and stamp set from SSS and it cost me $47. I don't like the white edge that the dies leave but I see this cuts really close to the image. Take care, I'll be watching all your videos, you are amazing!
@ILoveDoingAllthingscrafty7 жыл бұрын
Awwww, Thanks so much Lori. Happy you'll be watching! Haven't been filming anything recently, just really busy with home life and work at the moment. Hopefully soon! Yes, dies are a fortune and thus why the scan n cut works best for me. Would rather buy stamps than dies, plus it has lot of other uses. I know of a few people that have moved to the Island, can't blame them... it's beautiful out there, plus the weather is a lot milder compared to ours here :) Have a wonderful week!
