Incredible. I can see why the discovery of the Indic languages was the final push for philology to become proper historical linguistics as we know it today. The similarities are so striking.

I see that Indonesian and Javanese have influenced by Sanskrit, although mostly influenced by Classical Sanskrit but there are some words in this Vedic Sanskrit that i recognise such as: 1. 10 = Dáśa = Sêdåså (High Javanese) 2. Hand = Hástas = Hastå/Astå (High Javanese) 3. Earth = Prthivi = Pertiwi (Indonesian) 4. Land = Bhūmíş = Bumi (Indonesian) 5. Day = Dinám = Dinå (Low Javanese) 6. Fire = Agníş = Gêni (Low Javanese) 7. Sea = Samudrás = Samudra/Samudera, Samodrå (Indonesian, Low & High Javanese) 8. Mead/honey = Mádhuş = Madu (Indonesian) 9. Sun = Suryas = Suryå (High Javanese) 10. House = Grhás = Grha/Graha (Indonesian) 11. Name = Nama = Nama, Nami (Indonesian, High Javanese) 12. Human = Manuşyás = Manusia, Manungså (Indonesian, Low & High Javanese)

So in the beginning of the video, the symbol shown is NOT the Nazi symbol, fun fact: the Indians are the one who created the swastika (the symbol) but the Nazis stole it & tilted it (so no little kids, it’s not the Nazi symbol) Edit: I seem like i made a mistake, y’all are telling me that it comes from the P.I.E people & not ancient Indians & for that I apologize for my mistake, not trying to spread misinformation

I really like Cambodian music by singers like Sinn Sisamouth and Ros Serey Sothea, and I have noticed a few words that were of Indo-European origin. Apparently tara (តារា) (star) also comes from Sanskrit. That’s the first one that I thought of. Also youvochon (យុវជន) sounds like the word in the video that means young/adolescent male, so I wonder if there’s a connection there too.

In 3:06 Asura means demon in most Modern Indo Aryan languages and Classical Sanskrit. But in Vedic Sanskrit the word Asura refers to gods. In many verses Gods are called Asuras in Rigveda. This language had no script of it's own...in fact till it was in use there was no script to write it Classical version today is written in devanagari mostly and many even use Regional scripts. But in past Brahmi (only Kushan, Gupta), Tocharian, Kharosthi, Sharada, Pallava, etc scripts were used to write it.

But at least the Rig Vedic text according to historians is very old, definitely compiled around 1.200 BC in the Kuru region now Haryana, and for thousands of year it was only memorized from generation to generation. Although with slight changes. Meanwhile Homers ancient Greek poetry was also memorized and composed around 700 BC and written down later. But historians also think that Homer poetry also changed in subsequent times.

@@sahilsingh6048 Nah , the Vedic people probably knew of writing, since they were in contact with Tamils and Persians and the remnants of Harappa. It's just that they despised using writing for holy texts and important documents since: 1. Anyone can get secret information through illegitimate means . 2. Writing down decrees, especially religious ones, makes it easy for society to become rigid, or make people easily adulterate scriptures ( the latter is the reason for Sati, the letter gri was changed to gne, ) The Harappans shared a similar dislike for writing, which is why we can't decipher the script, as all inscriptions are too short

Yes, actually it's just -s. Most words end with -a in Sanskrit. And similarly accusative is -m. Let's say your name is rāma, nominative will be rāmas and accusative will be rāmam. However, different genders and word-endings are conjugated differently.
