Hola. Tengo olivos de dos años, plantados en Semana Santa de este año 2024. Están surgiendo brotes o varetas por la parte inferior, me dicen expertos que no las quite porque cuando tienen esta edad joven y poco tiempo de plantación sirven para potenciar las raíces. Así que los estoy dejando. Algún comentario?, Gracias.

@@vicenteperez1578 si son de regadío me parece bien. Pero si son de secano no me parece tan bien. Me explico: en secano no tiene sentido desaprovechar el crecimiento de la planta para luego dejar solo un tronco o guía. Con lo que cuesta que crezcan. Yo los guio siempre con una sola guía desde el principio y todo lo que crece es aprovechado. Eso si, dejó la copa sin podar hasta que alcanza un buen tamaño y eso sí que potencia el crecimiento radicular ya que toda planta tiende a equilibrar la parte aérea con la raíz. Lo demás son cuentos. Hola Juan Andres, el despunte siempre limita el crecimiento vertical y favorece la formación de brotes laterales. Soy partidario pero no de forma generalizada. Aquellos plantones cuyo tallo lleve un crecimiento vertical muy desarrollado (por encima de 1,10 cm) sin que tenga brotes laterales que permitan la formación de la copa, si que hay que despuntarlos para que abran.
