Hello , when you overtake car half parking on the kerb over the lawn area , half parking on the road. Do you still treat it like it park on the road . Do the blind spot check and indicate too or not ? What about when you overtake park car , you need to do blind spot check and indicate to the left just right before you come back your side of road , or just try to see if a driver is sit in the park car.

If you need to diverge laterally by more than 1.5 metres to get around an obstruction (e.g. parked car), you must indicate. You must also make sure that it's OK to move into that space by doing a mirror and blind spot check. If it's less then 1.5 metres you don't need to indicate but you still need to do everything to make sure that the lateral movement can be done safely. If you have indicated out, you will need to indicate back in. As you overtake the last of the parked vehicles, you should check the driver's seat of that vehicle. If there is a driver on board, do a slightly lingering head check to ensure that the vehicle is not moving off.

Hi David, 6:27, if the intersection is busy, should I stop near the kerb or in the middle? A bit confused about the car position. Thank you.

You would stop roughly where I turned from. But if you are waiting you should be facing straight ahead in the lane that you are turning from with your front wheels straight so that if you get hit from behind, you won't get pushed into oncoming traffic. Much the same as waiting at traffic lights. You should aim to take the most commonly travelled path around tre corner. That means that you don't cut the corner (although you would havew trouble cutting this corner because of the island in the sidestreet) and don't go too wide.

Absolutely. You can cut a line so that you take the optimal and most commonly travelled path around a corner.
