Gotta love Ilya's enthusiasm as well as the other people training and coaches that are there.

So wish I had that speed under the bar. Just started late in life so the oly lifting is difficult for me to achieve what I'm after. Will continue to work at it though.

chalk increases attrition that's why people put it on new platforms to prevent slipping, so if anything that makes it more difficult.

Notice the respect for the bar--they never touch it with their feet or step over it.

Philip Chan at 0:59 he just drops an empty barbell on the ground. Is that respect or disrespect? Idk. I like what you're saying though about not moving it around with your feet.

I'm curious about how they structure training cycles. After competitions do they take some time to just relax, rest, and get a little fat after the grueling months of training and competing? I know they probably want to keep most of the training regimens secret, but I would be fascinated to know the day in and day out of a champion weightlifter.
