Definitely making and having those memories of working with your brother just helps strengthen the bond, even long after you both begin to have families of your own. I'm very close with my sisters and my two brothers are close as well, although one lives 1500 miles away in northern MT. But the two still keep in contact thanks for technology like social media, Facetime. Enjoyed your vlog and thanks for sharing.

Havng an abundance of accessible, dry kindling wood in the depths of Winter, makes life so much easier!. I remember trying to split and stack kindling for the homestead in the midst of a New Zealand Winter storm, and it was far from fun!. Lesson learned!. Your new sled will be a much-welcomed addition to your efforts!.

Next year, take the windex or weathervane off the top of the mast when you lower the mast. There should be a small screw at the base. They are fragile and are best kept below decks for the winter. Towing or the tarp can bend them.

Question: How many days transpired from the day you towed your sailboat to the marina until the narrows froze over? The video makes it seem like that occurred over a day or two. Also, I love watching the adventures you and your brother (and mom and dad) get up to while on the island.

hard to say this but that big fixed keel is as pain in the but to find places to sail in fresh water, better to have a Retractable keels or dagger boards on a catamaran which can sail in shallow water like the waters around your island home. Otherwise you have a money pit . Or move to a deep water area. Sell and get some money out of it before its worth nothing
